I can do everything in Christ Jesus who strengthens me!

Welcome, dear readers, to our column “Daily word for spiritual strength”! I thank God for each of you and I pray, so that you remain thirsty for His word, thirsty for fellowship with Him because He is the source of life.

Bible says:

«For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble; but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong; and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are: that no flesh should boast before God. But of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption: that, according as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”». (1st Corinthians 1:26-31).

If you believe in God and follow Him, He will transform and exalt your life. God knows we are unable to change ourselves. Therefore, He invites us to follow Him, so that He can fill us with His wisdom and power needed for the transformation.

Have you changed since you became a believer, or are you still complaining about your weakness, inability, and displeasing circumstances? Living with God and following Him with all your heart, a weak person will say he is strong, a poor person will call himself rich, while an unhealthy and disabled person can say he is well.

If you accept all the means needed for transformation that God offers to you, you will look at your life after a while and say: “I am aware that I am still not where I am supposed to be, but praise the Lord, I have already moved away from the place where I was before.”

You will be surprised, looking in a mirror, at how life with God has renewed you. You will look much better and nicer even in your appearance. When we allow God to transform us while being obedient to Him, He makes us young. Most often, people become old before their time due to the wrong way of life and negative emotions like resentment, sorrow, depression, constant complaints, a negative way of thinking, bitterness, worries, fear, etc. However, living in Jesus, we get renewed, and a renewed spirit, in turn, has an impact on our soul and body. Things that take place inside you influence your physical condition.

That´s why the Bible says that we prosper and succeed as much as our soul prospers.

«Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.». (3rd John 1:2).

When there is no peace within you, it will definitely influence your health and overall physical condition. When a person is burdened and oppressed by a problem, it takes his internal peace away. That, in turn, has an impact on his heart, blood pressure, sleep, appearance, etc.

But if that person submits himself to prayer and faith-God´s offered tools for transformation-his heart fills with peace and joy instead of unrest, depression, and insomnia. Even such a person´s appearance gets transformed.

«In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus».(Philippians 4:6,7).
«casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you».(1st Peter 5:7).

When we cast all our worries on the Lord, a sincere joy appears, fills our hearts, and the soul begins to sing a new song. When somebody fully relies on God, he stops chanting old songs like: “Oh, I am weak! Oh no, I can´t accomplish it! Oh, I am definitely gonna fail! Oh, I am so poor!”

When a person casts his worries on the Lord who cares for us, his mouth will sing a new song: “Let the weak say I am strong! I can do everything in Christ Jesus who strengthens me! My God meets all my needs! God is my shepherd, I lack nothing! I destroy my enemies with God! I am healed by the wounds of Jesus.”

God is our heavenly Father, so He desires to see His children happy and successful in this life. This is exactly why God is making all the necessary changes in us. Cast all your worries on Him because He cares for you!

God bless you abundantly!

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 16:25)Our task is to train our spirit to hear what God is telling us. And even if your intellect is fighting and heart does not agree with what God says to you, anyway, say to God, “I do not know how it happens, I just believe in You!”

  • The Christian as an ambassador II

After Jesus left the earth and ascended to heaven, He commissioned us to be His ambassadors or the sent ones (His representatives) on the earth. So we must understand and receive a profound revelation concerning the spiritual authority and power that we have in Christ. The Bible says that Christ made us kings and priests in order that we can reign on earth for Him. It is God, our heavenly Father desires that we all to be busy about His business. His business is to reconcile people with Him. God desires to do the work of reconciliation through us – «we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God». He wants us to declare the word of reconciliation. « God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation » (2 Corinthians, 5:19).

Lack of gratitude stops the flow of favour in the life of a person. You cannot be tired of blessing a grateful person. David was a grateful man. He was grateful to God and called others to thank God with him.«Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together» (Psalm, 34: 3).

  • Do you know that you are not all you could be yet?

“And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him”In the above passage, Jesus saw two brothers trying to catch fish by the sea side and immediately recognized that they have a better destiny, so He instructed them to follow Him. This word of God to you today is this: Follow me and I will make you.Do you know that you are not all you could be yet? Only the Lord knows who you are created to be and He wants to make you become who you are really created to be. That is why He said “I will make you”.

  • What did you do with Jesus Christ, the Son of God? What did you do with all those resources that were given to you by Him?

How will you answer these questions? It is very important to answer these questions already now. This is why we invite all members of the church to actively serve God. The desire to serve God will prompt the believer to think – what can I do? What do I know and how can i use that for the benefit of the Kingdom? what do I have already, and what can I share with others? How can I use my experience in serving other people, in honor of the Lord?
