Value God’s Word! II

May the peace and grace of the Lord be multiplied to you today, dear friends!I would like to continue talking about yesterday’s theme, which is the importance of God’s Word and its role in our lives. Let us look at some of Jesus’ parables that reveal to us the significance of God’s Word.
«Therefore whoever hears these saying of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise  man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these saying of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on the house; and it fell. And great was its fall» (Mathew, 7:24-27).
This Scripture tells us how important it is to relate correctly to the Word of God. Yesterday God spoke to us through Moses that God’s Word is our life and that if we rightly relate to the Word we will live a long life. Sustainability of any building depends on the strenghth of its foundation.Today God is telling us that the foundation of our life, relationships, undertakings and all the things we are trying to build in this life depends largely on the proportion of God’s Word at the base of whatever we are building and on our obedience to the word of God. Jesus said that only those who hears and does God’s Word can be called wise.Dear friends, how much do you value the Word of God? How much time do you spend reading the Word and digging deep into it? how much time do you spend meditating on God’s Word, listening to it, studying it or memorizing it by heart? The foundation of your life will only be as strong as serious your attitude towards the word of God is. Your ability to withstand the floods, the hardships and the troubles of this life depends on this as well. I must point out that different adverse circumstances and situation occur in a person’s life whether he loves the Word or not. Negative things happen to all people – to those who love God and to those that do not. All those things occur because of the fall of man; that is the reason of all tragedies, troubles and hardships. But those have the Word of God hidden in their hearts have a strong foundation and when it rains or floods or any other negative things come against them they do not fall; these things come and go, but the house or the life of such people still stands because it is built on God’s Word.My prayer for you today is that your house will not fall when different troubles come; may it stand firm through all of them. In order for that to happen do not forget to relate with right attitude towards God’s Word, to receive it and to build your life on it.Be blessed! Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

One of proofs of your love for God is to love those whom He loves. • The importance of walking in the fear of God

The Bible teaches that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God.Until the fear of God is in place, there can’t be any Access to the Spirit of wisdom and revelation from God. The God type of wisdom that makes your face to shine in the dark seasons of life and make your star brighter despite the unfavorable circumstances of life, results from the fear of God.
  • All true ministry begins in the presence of God III

As we draw closer to God, we will be able to see our self in the light of God. Many people look at themselves from the standpoint of what other people are saying or what they are thinking about themselves. The fact is that only God knows the true states of your heart. As you stand in the presence of God He will help you to see yourself correctly. Not only will you see yourself from God’s perspective, but you will be transformed into His very image.
  • How some people sins caused pain and suffering in other people

«“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.». (Matthew 5:43-45).If only all people lived according to the commandments of love there would be much less pain and tragedies on Earth. There would be much less tears on Earth if people took care for each other instead of seeking their own benefits.
  • The chief hindrances that block God’s power from working for us

Jesus sometimes connects sickness with sins. This is not always the true for every sickness or situation (John 9:1-3), but very often our problems are connected to some unconfessed sins in our lives.“And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. 2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee” (Matthew 9:1-8).
