Rejoice in the Lord! II

Dear friend, I am so glad to talk to you through „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”.Yesterday we spoke about the significance of joy and about the desire of God for us to serve Him with gladness and to come before His presence with joy.
  «Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord  will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you» (Deuteronomy, 28:47-48).
This passage of Scripture also talks about God’s desire for us to serve him with joy and gladness. And right in this same passage we are told one of the basis for and one of sources of our joy: a source of God’s joy in our hearts is the things He has done for us. Things that happen to us and around us must not determine whether we have joy or not! When we contemplate on the things that we do not have in our lives, the spirit of heaviness and depression starts to press us down. But when we meditate on the things that God has abundantly blessed us with, our hearts are saturated with joy.Unfortunately, too often we do not think about the good things God has done for us and we also often forget to thank God for all those things that He has already given us; it is more natural for us to think and talk about the things we are still lacking, where we are failing miserably, and then sadness and sorrow come. But God says that if we won’t learn to appreciate what we already have, to rejoice about those things and enjoy them, a curse would come. The lack of joy brings a curse into person’s life.Dear friends, God once again delights to tell us to serve Him with gladness. Jesus once told His disciples:
 «Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven» (Luke, 10:20).
If your name has been written in the Book of Life, if you are a child of God, then you are also a co-heir of Christ. And it is more than enough reason to motivate any of us to rejoice and thank God for every day of our lives.May your every day be filled with the joy of the Lord! There are a wisdom of this world and God´s wisdom. God´s wisdom differs from the wisdom of this world the way that it´s hidden until the God Himself reveals it to the people. As for the wisdom of this world, that´s a human wisdom gained using five methods of perception, or sense: hearing, sight, touch, smell, and taste, which are the natural channels used to gain a knowledge.Differently from God´s wisdom that exists for our glory, the wisdom of a man once passes away. First of all, you need a revelation from God. Learning to recognise the voice of your Heavenly Father and getting to know Him as your best friend is vitally important. God is willing to give you wisdom, understanding and revelation in every sphere of your life. Though, when a revelation and wisdom are received from God, you have to write them down in whole. Then it becomes a spring of life, that gives breathe to you and brings hope that releases faith and trust on God in you.To write something down means to record the vision a paper. We have to put it down clearly, the way it makes sense to us later. Thus, we can bring our vision into reality, so that we can expect it and put our hopes upon. This is one of the methods how to cling with the vision together and dedicate yourself to fulfil it. Prophet Habakkuk reminds us about the importance of writing down the vision you have received from God.

How can we experience God in our life?

The God´s mercy is renewed for us this morning. The Bible says: «Let everything that has breath praise Yah!» (Psalm 150:6). If you can breath today – it´s a mercy of the Lord and a sufficient reason to praise and thank Him.Today I would like to begin a new topic called “How can we experience God in our life?” Studying the Bible we see God doing great feats through many people. He was able to realise His intentions using those people just due to their revelation and understanding of God´s key principles. While living in the different times, educated on a different level, belonged to the different cultures all Bible heroes basically have something in common. The secret of the success and feats they had is obvious – they knew God and interacted with Him. They experienced God´s power and His mercy in their lives. How did they succeeded? It became possible because they dedicated themselves to God. That´s exactly what God is inviting us to do.

Someone might say, «I still do not have a job, even though I have prayed and the church has prayed for me». Or he might say, «Thank You, Lord, for the daily bread You give me». Do you see a difference? In the first case we hear murmuring, in the second – thanksgiving. Is it really necessary to thank God for the daily bread? Absolutely, since many people are forced to go hungry from day to day.

If we have seed and sow it in good ground, then we will definitely see a harvest. Seed will grow. Sown seed first gives blade, then head and then grain in the head. Multiplication and growth always imply process. It is unavoidable if we want to receive harvest. We just have to do our part. First, that we have to understand in order to receive harvest is that we need some seed. The truth is that we already have seed. If you want to see multiplication in some area of your life you should know that you already have seed from God.
