Everything that is hidden will unavoidably be brought into the light II

Peace to you, dear friends!
I am glad today to bring to you a word of wisdom from the Lord. For the last few days we have been talking about the wisdom of repentance. I would like to continue on this topic today.

In one of his psalms David talks about a day in the life of a person that has repented of all of his sins before God. We can see the advantages of that kind of lifestyle.

«Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit!» (Psalms, 32:1-2)

David says that after repentance God’s forgiveness comes into a person’s life, his transgressions are forgiven, his iniquities are not imputed to him, and his sins are covered. David says that this person is blessed. One who does not hide iniquity in his heart is open before God. But there is no forgiveness for the one who does not repent and does not confess his sins to God.

«If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness» (1 John, 1:9).

Forgiveness comes as the result of repentance. When we do not repent, when we hide sin in our hearts, all of this affects our health.

«When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long» (Psalms, 32:3).

The lack of repentance destroys a person inwardly, because sin destroys. But the Bible says that if we hide the Word of God in our hearts, then this Word not only presses sin out of the heart but also becomes health to our body, to our bones.

«Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you» (Psalms, 119:11).

David tells us that it is important to fill the heart with the Word and to hide the Word in our hearts instead of hiding our sins, because the Word of God is able to press all kinds of hidden and unconfessed sins out of our hearts.
The Word of God brings health to the whole body. And we read about it in the Book of Proverbs (4:20-22):

«My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.»

David says that when he kept silent, kept hiding sins in his heart and did not repent of them, „my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long”, and that is why an unconfessed sin brings destruction.
For this very reason, dear friends, God is asking us not to hide our sins, but to live a righteous life, because it is important not only for our spiritual condition, but also for the health of our physical body.
May the Lord bless you!
Till tomorrow!

When we talk about changes, we talk about the condition of one’s heart. What others do to us does not come from us; it is directed towards us to test the condition of our hearts. Our reaction to the actions of others and the outside pressure determine the content of our hearts.«Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life» (Proverbs, 4:23).

  • Why we can’t grow spiritually if we do not serve others?

Here is one of the reasons why we can’t grow spiritually if we do not serve others. If we do not serve we become like those who only receive and not give out. Sooner or later such a person starts to stink spiritually. Look at any body of water that water flows into but doesn’t flow out of. After some time this water becomes stagnant and lifeless.

Peace and grace from the Lord may be multiplied in your life this day! We are still talking about the search for the meaning of life and happiness under heaven. Solomon showed us what path we should not take when we talk about the search of the meaning of life, happiness and satisfaction. When we take this wrong path, we will be disappointed and frustrated and it will lead us to total failure.

  • Apart from Him there is no true satisfaction and happiness! II

Today we will look at some more areas of Solomon’s life where he tried to find happiness and satisfaction. Many people try to do that. Let’s look at the Scripture.«Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind. Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me»(Ecclesiastes, 2:16-17).

  • The changes must start with us

«When I was young my imagination did not know any boundaries. And I wanted to change the whole world. In time I realized that I wouldn’t be able to change the world, so I tried to change my country. When I realized that I wouldn’t be able to change the country, I concentrated on changing my city. But I couldn’t change my city either. So, when I had grown older, I tried to change my family. Now when I am an old man waiting to cross over to the other side I have understood that the only one I could change was me. Suddenly I realized that if I had worked on changing myself I would have been able to really affect my family and then my family and I could have affected the city. Through the changes in the city we could have changed the country and the world”.
