What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time?

May the peace and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied unto you this day!Yesterday we started talking about the potential advantages concealed in pain and sufferings. We talked about God’s desire for us to go through hardships with dignity, trusting Him in all things, rejoicing before God and being obedient to Him. Today I would like you to look at positive side of pain and suffering.Problems draw our attention faster than anything else.Problems can become a spiritual “alarm clock” from God. This is what Job (36:15) points out:
 “He delivers the poor in their affliction, and opens their ears in oppression”.
In times of prosperity and abundance we hear God as whispering, but in times of pain and suffering we hear Him loud and clear. God has an ability to revive our attention towards His Word and His voice. That is why Solomon says that in times of abundance we should enjoy life, but in times of suffering we should think about our life.
«In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, so that man can find out nothing that will come after him» (Ecclesiastes, 7: 14).
Problems teach us to trust God.
“Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians, 1:9).
You will never understand that God is everything you need, until He becomes everything you have left. The period of problems and hardships is the time when we need to seek God and get closer to Him.     The topic of our devotion today is “Your gift will make room for you”.We have been talking about how all big things start small, whether it is a known person, great ministry, great accomplishments or great influence. It all starts when a person does what he can do and does it with all his might as unto the Lord with faith and consistency. When one has such attitude towards life he will have his or her reward from the Lord. Such a person will be blessed and exalted by God. His or her gift will make room for him or her in God’s overall picture and the Body of Christ.Person’s gift will make room for him and will bring him before great men, – this is on of the Bible principles; the Bible teaches about it and also it can be seen in the lives of the people in the Bible.

    Every person has a goal, whether he talks about it or not. He is driven to do something. But if we talk about goals, it is important to determinewhether it is WORTHY or UNWORTHY. Paul had a worthy goal and talked about it all the time:«…according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.

  • Do not waste your time, but rather invest in what will outlive your time on earth

    Send your treasures to heaven by investing in those who are going there. Many are rich with goods and treasures of this world, but they are poor toward God. The Bible call such people fools:20″But God said to him, “You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?” 21This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12: 20-21)
