What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time?

May the peace and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied unto you this day!Yesterday we started talking about the potential advantages concealed in pain and sufferings. We talked about God’s desire for us to go through hardships with dignity, trusting Him in all things, rejoicing before God and being obedient to Him. Today I would like you to look at the positive side of pain and suffering.Problems draw our attention faster than anything else.Problems can become a spiritual “alarm clock” from God. This is what Job (36:15) points out:
“He delivers the poor in their affliction, and opens their ears in oppression”.
In times of prosperity and abundance we hear God as whispering, but in times of pain and suffering we hear Him loud and clear. God has the ability to revive our attention towards His Word and His voice. That is why Solomon says that in times of abundance we should enjoy life, but in times of suffering we should think about our life.
«In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, so that man can find out nothing that will come after him» (Ecclesiastes, 7: 14).
Problems teach us to trust God.
“Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians, 1:9).
You will never understand that God is everything you need, until He becomes everything you have left. The period of problems and hardships is the time when we need to seek God and get closer to Him. May your troubles and difficulties bring you closer to Him.Till tomorrow!Peace be with you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • What do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities? II

We concluded that we are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God. If we refuse to collaborate with God, He will not be able to act or fulfil His plan in our cities and our countries. We stopped at what do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities? To make it happen we must become obedient disciples of Jesus Christ. God uses this kind of people to fulfil His prophesies and restore His will on Earth.Obedient disciple is one who moves and works for God, not sitting and doing nothing, so God can move through such person.
  • Daily obedience to God in different areas of your life will bring you to your calling III

If you desire to find out what your calling is and to start walking in it, then, first of all, be obedient to God on a daily basis; secondly, let Jesus to become the Lord in all the areas of your life.It is our honour and privilege to have Jesus Christ as our Lord, since He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The lordship of Jesus does not humiliate and limit a person; quite the opposite is true, – it exalts and adorns human life.
  • The Christian as an ambassador

There are many metaphors used in the Bible to reveal to us what are our essence and our task on the Earth. The word “messenger or “ambassador” is one of them. Paul uses this word in his letter to Corinthians:«Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God». (2nd Corinthians 5:19-20).
  • Worship the Lord

God wants us to talk to Him the way we talk to our father. Jesus said in His prayer: “… blessed be Thy Name!” The word “bless” means He worshipped the God Father in reverence to Him. Worship prepares our soul to meet the God. It also involves our spirit. Just like in order to listen to a broadcast on the radio you need to tune it up first, worship helps us to turn our spirit on and tune it up on the God´s wave. Jesus taught:«You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve»
  • Hidden wisdom

There is wisdom that is revealed and open for some people and continues to open daily; but for some people, this wisdom is like hidden treasure they are not able to enjoy. It is the Word of God that is God’s treasure. Today we will talk about God’s Word and about our attitude towards it. The people that have the Bible have a true treasure at their disposal.
  • The Importance of God’s will

Today I would like to start talking about „The Importance of God’s will”. The Holy Scripture says: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Mathew, 7: 21). The Bible calls every one of us to have sound mind, especially in learning the will of God for his or her life.«Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is» (Ephesians, 5:18).Why is it so important to allocate some time for seeking out the will of God? Why is understanding of God’s will so necessary for a person? It is because the understanding of God’s will determine both our happiness here, on earth, and our status in the future, in eternity.
