Fight for the lives of your children, your family and friends!

Good morning to you, dear friends!Yesterday we started talking about a woman who left us an example of persistence for which she was rewarded. The story can be found in the Gospel of Matthew (15).
«Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send here away, for she cries out after us.” But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour» (Mathew, 15:21-28).
There were several players involved in the story that the passage above also mentions, and we will try to see what important lessons each of them teaches.Yesterday we mentioned Jesus who tells us the importance of being alone with God:
«Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon» (Mathew, 15: 21).
«From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden» (Мark, 7: 24).
In this story we see that Jesus’ choice of territory was strategic, not accidental, because He knew that scribes and Pharisees wouldn’t enter pagan lands. Jesus needed to rest from the multitudes of people that continuously surrounded Him, as well as scribes and Pharisees who challenged Him with tricky questions. Jesus thought He would be able to hide among pagans, but it did not work out. Even in this pagan land people knew about Jesus. One woman recognized Him.
„And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him…” (Mathew, 15:22).
«For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet» (Мark, 7:25).
This woman came to Jesus not for her own sake but for the sake of her daughter, who had an unclean spirit. Here we see a mother’s heart full of love. The mother cared for her daughter. We must respect and honour our mothers, because they love us, fight for us and for our lives, nurture us, encourage us, help us and protect us. This woman came to Jesus at a very difficult time in her life. She knew how to ask Jesus; she knew that she cannot stop until she sees changes in the life of her daughter.You know that in the history of revivals the key role was played by praying women, because God had given them the burden of prayer for the lives of other people. Women know how to carry things that distress them and bear them before God. That is why prayer is one of the purposes of mothers. Mother’s prayers are so powerful! Mother’s prayer reaches the goal! Mother’s prayer brings freedom to her children! So if you are a mother, God expects unceasing prayers from you, until the necessary answer comes. Do not stop praying for your children. Children need your prayers, and other people need your prayers.God’s call to you today is to be protectors of life! Fight for the lives of your children, your family and friends! Do not let the enemy carry out his evil plans. Pray for people you care about and you will see God showing His mercy in their lives.Have a wonderful day!We will continue tomorrow.Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

    “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls” (James, 1:21).For the Word of God to be implanted in you, you must ‘lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness’. If you are mad at everybody then you won’t be able to hear and comprehend the Word; you will read it, but it won’t work in your life. The process of engrafting requires a special treatment, protection in order to preserve the tree from infection. The same can be said about a human heart, – it must be protected from wickedness so that the Word of God could be planted and then bring forth fruit – the fruit of salvation.

  • The importance of having the right connection between your evenings and your mornings

    What does this tell us? It tells us that God started His day in the evening. It is very important for us to borrow this wisdom from our Heavenly Father. If we get up in the morning and only then start thinking about what we need to do for the day, then we are already starting it in the wrong manner and have already starting too late. The last moment to start your day is the evening of the previous day. In the evening we need to have a composed idea of what we are doing the next day. We need to have a plan for the next day. Before we go to bed we need to have a vision for the next day. If we are too lazy to make any plans for the next day before going to bed then we are heading towards poverty both physical and spiritual. It is crucial for us to accept this wisdom from God to start the day in the evening of the previous day: «So the evening and the morning were the first day».

  • God reveals His plan gradually

    Yesterday we began talking about the importance of knowing God’s will for our lives. We established that God has a particular plan with precise assignments for every person. But God reveals His plan gradually.God reveals His plan to us as we reach certain levels of maturity and grow in our ability to accept what He has prepared for us. As God shows us the details of His plan, we can learn to walk in obedience in those areas where God has already revealed us His will. And during this time we can simply trust Him to carry out His sovereign plan for our life.

  • Prayer must be my first priority

    Today I would like to talk more about the third point. I finished saying that prayer is more about what God wants to tell you and what He wants to do in your life and not what you want to tell Him. So you do not need to tell God what is on your heart; allow God to work through His Word giving Him opportunity to work in your heart and reveal to you His plans. If you want to hear God, you cannot be in a hurry. Effective prayer has nothing to do with haste.

  • God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom

    «So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’» (Luke, 19:13).This verse clearly states that the master told his servants to do business with the things they were given. The master expected them to get some profit from his ‘investment’.
