If you want to receive a miracle from God you need the ability to hear people and see their action from different perspective!

I pray that the Lord God, the Father of mercy may strengthen you in your inner beingtoday. May the victory of Christ be evident in your life on this day! We are looking at the story of a Canaanite woman who was persistent and thus evoked God’s intervention in her daughter’s life, even though it seemed impossible. She left us an example of faith that is worth a special attention. Yesterday we saw how this woman overcame what i called ‘the human factor’. Today we will look at how she decided to worship God instead of getting offended.
«And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!» (Mathew, 15:22-25)
First, she had to overcome ‘human factor’; but after that Jesus said:
 «I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel»(Mathew, 15:24).
For a long time I did not understand the meaning of this verse, but God opened the truth to me. At that moment the target group of the ministry of Jesus was the nation of Israel, because they had been preparing for His coming for a long time. Jesus was sent to the nation of Israel and then the Gospel would spread further through them. Jesus was not saying that salvation was for the Jews alone. That was not what He meant. When this woman heard Him saying that He was sent to Israel she acted as if she was deaf. She did not respond to these words; she simple ignored them. It was a sign of persistence and tenacity! The Bible contains a story of a widow who did the same thing like this woman. This widow came to a judge and asked him to protect her from her opponent. And because of her persistence she received what she asked for (Luke, 18: 1-8). The Canaanite woman refused to recieve no for an answer, because she needed a miracle for her demon-possessed daughter. This woman had nothing to lose, so she kept pressing on in faith. Mothers are protectors, always ready to fight for the health and the wellbeing of their children whatever the cost. Mothers do not care others think of them or what name they are called, when it comes to fighting for the life of their children. Mothers only care about the end result. God wants us to be like these mothers who fight for their childrens life no matter the price they has to pay so that their children would be healthy in all areas of life – spiritual, emotional and physical. Mothers protect! God desires that we all fight for and protect those He has entrusted us. He wants us to be strong, so that nothing could stop us on our way to God’s miracle.Further we see that
«then she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!» (Mathew, 15:25)
The woman worshipped Jesus on her knees. She did this amidst of all the people who were there that day. It speaks of her despair; she did not pay attention to her surroundings and she did not care of what the others thought. She humbled herself before Jesus. All of this spoke of her faith. Through this story God wants to teach us a very important lesson of the place of faith in our walking in victory. Later we will talk about how faith expresses itself.A mother’s faith saves her children. Faith is able to go through any barriers and brings life to places where death seems inevitable. Faith brings freedom to the doomed. God’s challange for you today is this: if you want to receive a miracle from God you need the ability to hear people and see their action from different perspective. If you are impetuous and easily get offended, your faith will be weak. True faith works by love, – offenses destroy love. Be blessed! Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

    I want you to notice that it is required of us to accept the Word if we want it to bear fruit. People with stony hearts also accept the Word, but there is a difference between them and those whose heart is identified as being good ground. People with stone hearts receive the Word on the emotional level, on the surface; besides, they are not consistent, and as a result the Word cannot take root in their hearts.«…and they have no root in themselves…» (Мark 4:17)

  • Why do people run away from being accountable?

    1. Fear of rejection. Many people are afraid of others rejecting or despising them when they find out all the truth. Biblical accountability is fulfilment of the law of Christ which tells us to express our care for the others in the spirit of humility: «Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ» (Galatians, 6:1-2).

  • You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice!

    We are not only created by God, we are also reworked or recreated by Jesus Christ. We are talking about the opportunity available to sinful people because Christ has come into this world. This is exactly what the letter to Ephesians says:«You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.» (Ephesians 2:1-10).

    We serve God by serving other people in His Name. To serve God actually means to serve other people in the Name of God or as the representative of God on the earth. It is to do good to others by meeting their spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical or material needs as an act of our love for God. Please understand that your love for God will have a reflection your relationship with others. In the same way, your neglect of God reflects on how you relate to your neighbour.
