Pray for your children!

Good morning, dear friends! For some time now we have been discussing life lessons from the story of a Canaanite woman that is found in Mathew 15. The actions of this woman are an example for all the mothers and parents. Possibly, you are not a parent yet, but you are called to raise up disciples for Christ, and for this reason the principle covered here applies to you as well. The story speaks of the reward for being persistent in faith.
«Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying: “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O, woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour» (Mathew, 15:21-28).
Persistent faith of a mother has a great reward. I want to thank all mothers. Raising and nurturing of children is not an easy work. There are different challenges in life, but God has promised that He will always be with you. God expects us to be consistent in faith. May God help us not to lose faith in God’s ability to raise our children, to get them establish in life so that they would live a godly life and be healthy both physically and spiritually. It is sou important that this world would be full of well-raised children that have learn to deal with hardships looking at their parents. Children that have not experienced difficulties when growing up usually break and give up easily as adults when they have to face life challenges. God prepares children through their parents. If we as adults work very hard to protect our children from any possible hardships, it is not a sign of love. Our children must be taught how to face hardships of this life. I want to remind you that these principles apply to both natural and spiritual children that we are raising to be disciples of Christ. Pray for your children, ask Him to help in raising them. Ask God to give you wisdom, patience, endurance to raise the children so that you can be a positive influence in their life. And receive what you’ve asked by faith! If your children are grown-ups and they are not saved yet, entrust them to God, pray and expect a miracle. If you do not have any children of your own, pray for your family members to receive salvation. Ask God to help you to raise your children for God, – so that they would love God and have fear of God and serve Him all the days of their lives. Let’s pray. “We declare our children to be godly, to love God and be healthy in their spirit, soul and body. We declare them to be successful and to stay on the right path. May all the plans of the devil be overthrown in the lives of our children, in Jesus name! We plead the blood of Jesus Christ and His protection over our children! We believe our children to be righteous and remain in the Lord’s house. They will be able to overcome the streams of evil that are flowing in this world, because they will be taught of the Lord. We believe our children to be able to withstand all the trials and not break. We put up a wall of protection for the devil and call down God’s protection from heaven for our children. We proclaim them under protection, in Jesus’ name! Thank you, God, for salvation that is rising in our children like a river!” May God abundantly bless you! Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Transformed person is a person with the right and pure motives

Transformed person serves other people because he loves them, not in order to benefit from them. It makes me sad when I meet people who minister because it gives them a certain benefits. It´s awfully hard to change a person who has such motives. Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus was one of this kind. For three and a half years he had stayed with Jesus, but in no way it changed him, because he had sinister motives. Judas Iscariot was greedy, money loving man. Jesus put Judas in charge with financial part of His ministry, so he had access to money and offerings. First Judas began to steal money from their pay-box, later also betrayed his Master.
  • Sacrifice as a measure of love! III

It is not hard to love God – simply think about Him, think about what He does for you every day, and your natural response will be gratefulness. Worshipping God will become a natural thing for those who think about Him and His works. God loves you very much. But, if you live and at the same time do not think about Him, do not see what He does for you, it is hard for you to sacrifice; particularly – it is hard for you to sacrifice your busy daily schedule, your finances, your time, your comfort, because you do not think about Him.
  • Are you in bondage, in the wilderness or in your promise land?

We read about how God promised the children of Israel a land flowing with milk and honey, but when it came time to possess it, as a nation they were not ready. There are attitudes that keep you in bondage and wandering in the wilderness, while a promised land flowing with milk and honey awaits you. The Bible is full of the record of sins that plagued the rest of the children of Israel which we are to be aware of today in our lives.
  • The Importance of God’s will

Today I would like to start talking about „The Importance of God’s will”. The Holy Scripture says: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Mathew, 7: 21). The Bible calls every one of us to have sound mind, especially in learning the will of God for his or her life.«Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is» (Ephesians, 5:18).Why is it so important to allocate some time for seeking out the will of God? Why is understanding of God’s will so necessary for a person? It is because the understanding of God’s will determine both our happiness here, on earth, and our status in the future, in eternity.
  • What is a breakthrough? II

Breakthrough always changes a person’s status and position. Today, I want to draw your attention to the fact that in this story, not only the crippled man experienced a breakthrough but also Peter and John, the Apostles. Not only the cripples need a breakthrough. Every person needs a breakthrough!Along with the crippled man, also Peter and John, the Apostles, experienced a breakthrough, because miracles that had not happened beforein through their ministry took place exactly on that day. Ever since then, different miracles never ceased in their lives and ministries. Even the shadow of Peter who started healing the sick as he passed by them. Imagine what will happen to you when you begin to experience a continual breakthrough in every sphere of your life.
