Why we need the favour?

Grace and mercy of the Lord be multiplied unto you today, dear readers of the „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!We are continuing our talk on the power of God’s favour. Today we will keep talking about why we need the favour. Let’s turn to the next verse of Scripture:
«We have heard with our ears, O God, our father have told us, the deeds You did in their days, in days of old: You drove out the nations with Your hand, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out. For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favoured them»  (Psalm 44:1-3).
«By this I know that You are well pleased with me, because my enemy does not triumph over me. As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever» (Psalm 41:11-12).
Based on these passages of Scripture, we can make the following conclusions:
  • It is not important how many enemies (competitors) you have; if God gives you favour, you will be successful.
  • Favour makes you ‘a tough nut to crack’ for your enemies.
  • Favour makes you a winner in the battle of life and ensures the full victory.
  • Favour isolates you from the tragedies of life, protects you from mocking and offences of the devil.
  • Favour can take you from the place you are right now to the place where God has meant you to be.
  • When God gives you favour, it becomes obvious to the other people, including your enemies.
Joseph was an example of the things that we are talking about. God gave him favour, and it caused people to like and promote him.
    • Joseph’s father loved him in a special way .
    • Potiphar – Joseph’s master – put him in charge of his own household.
    • Joseph became an overseer in the prison as well, and other people treated him with respect.
    • Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of the whole nation of Egypt.
    • In one moment favour took Joseph from prison to the throne.
This is what Pharaoh told Joseph:
«You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you» (Genesis, 41:40).
The life of Joseph changed from the very moment when the favour of God touched him. God gave him favour, so all the circumstances in his life worked for him, not against him. All the trials worked for Joseph’s good. May it be said of you that all the circumstances of life work for your good and that all the trials of life work together for your good.Till tomorrow!     You know that in the history of revivals the key role was played by praying women, because God had given them the burden of prayer for the lives other people. Women know how to carry things that distress them and bear them before God. That is why prayer is one of the purposes of mothers. Mother’s prayers are so powerful! Mother’s prayer reaches the goal! Mother’s prayer brings freedom to her children! So if you are a mother, God expects unceasing prayers from you, until the necessary answer comes. Do not stop praying for your children. Children need your prayers, and other people need your prayers.
