How can we earn promotion? III

Greetings to you, dear readers of “Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! May God bless you and keep you from all evil this day! Today we will continue talking about God’s promotion.

We already saw that exaltation and promotion come into a person’s life if he is obedient to God and walks in the light of God’s Word. God desires to exalt every one of His children. He wants to pour out heavenly gifts, His provision and life on His loved ones. But there are some things that cause one person to be exalted and another one to fall. Let’s read from the Holy Scripture.

“By humility and fear of the LORD are riches and honour and life” (Proverbs, 22:4).
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs, 16:18).
“Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honour is humility” (Proverbs, 18:12).

God has set a particular order in His Kingdom; there are some principles that the Kingdom of God is based on: humble people open for themselves the grace of walking in the fear of the Lord, and they experience riches, honour and full life from God – the Word of God says so. The prideful and haughty sooner or later are humbled, and their life is filled with falls and destruction.

If we desire God’s promotion we need to walk in humility and obedience to God. So many people after they get promoted become unapproachable, unsociable, and haughty. Quite often God returns them back to where they were before the promotion. It is something that happens all over the world.

God very often takes a humble person who is unknown to the broader public and exalts him in one day. God sees a humble heart. If you stay modest, teachable and humble, God cannot circumvent His principles. He is looking for humble people all over the world so that He could exalt and promote them.

Whatever is your position and situation in this life, – fear God! He is fully capable of exalting or humbling. God desires for you to become a person that is worthy of God’s exaltation, so fear God! Keep the fear of the Lord and humility in your heart and then God’s blessings and His promotion will not end in your life.

May God help you to understand this truth today, so that you can become a candidate for God’s promotion!

God bless you! Till tomorrow!

  • Lay hold on eternal life! III

Laying hold of eternal life means that a person strives to stay on the narrow road which leads to eternal life. Jesus knew that it would be so convenient for many to walk the broad road; being on this road, a person feels comfortable and lives without any restrictions; he does what he wants to do and is not limited by any commitments. But the Bible says that it is the way of sin, because a person is not accountable and moves ‘without brakes’, so to speak; this way leads to destruction. God says that we shouldn’t walk on this way. We must flee sin; we must cast aside all the worldly, ungodly things that hinder us, otherwise we won’t get to our destination – eternal life. Jesus says that many people will deny faith.

«Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled» (Acts, 4:13).The first disciples of Jesus had spent time with Jesus and that reflected in their attitude to life,- they manifested God’s character through their lives. They were brave and bold for God; they boldly spoke of God, and testify of Him because they had spent time in the Father’s bosom.

  • If a person does not serve God, then sooner or later his love towards Him will grow cold and he will forsake God!

Serving God is one of the ways you and I can maintain a good spiritual shape. It is one of the ways to grow spiritually. If a person is always on the receiving side and never gives anything, he will eventually die. For this reason, it is very important to serve God.There are so many people in the Church today who only call themselves believers; they simply go to church, read their Bible and pray; they fellowship with other believers, but serving God is not in the list of their priorities.

  • The principle of a right confession

God helped Abraham to believe Him, Who calls those things which do not exist as though they did. This is the principle of right confession. God calls those things that do not exist as though they did. When God gave Abram a new name – Abraham, he did not have any descendants. Neverthelss, because of this new name Abraham began calling himself “a father of many nations”. And when he called himself by name or he was called by others – every time what God had purposed was confessed – particularly that Abraham is going to be a father of many nations. We see that Abraham „contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations…”
