We multiply our talents by using them and putting them to practise

Peace and grace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ! Today – through the mercy and love of God – we have been given one more day; let us use this day to the maximum, giving glory to God in all that we do.

We have been talking about our gifts and talents and the fact that it is very important what we do with them.

A man once told me that he was fed up with listening to his pastor call the people to serve in the church. This person asked me, «What should I do?» I told him that if he had come to our church, he would have heard the same invitation.

Serving God is something that is necessary for us, not God. When we serve God, it transforms our character, makes us stronger, and draws us closer to Him.

Find for yourself a place in the Kingdom and then do some quality work. It is not important how old you are – young or old. Serve Him and build His Kingdom! Every single day you should apply the gifts of God for His glory. Seek out the ways to promote His Kingdom through all your gifts. Also, you should continuously study, develop your capabilities and grow.

We have already established that gifts are given to everyone.

«And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability» (Mathew, 25:15).

We do not need to compare our talents with the talents of others. We are given abilities that match our talents, not the talents of another person. Not having a particular talent, I am not able to do what another person who has that talent does. Having a talent or not having it does not make one person better than another. Every one of us is the best for God. Even the person from the parable who received only one talent is the best for God. God did not give him one talent because He considered him to be a bad person. No, God gave him one talent because his abilities were on the level of one talent. God did not want to give him more than he could bear or manage. God does not want to destroy us; he wants to stretch us. God gave you talents to multiply them.

How can we multiply our gifts and talents? What should we do for it to happen? Do you really know your talents?

We multiply our talents by using them and putting them into practice.

We have to apply our gifts. We must find for ourselves a place in the church, in God’s Kingdom. Your barrenness is nobody’s fault but yours. Learn to apply your talents and do it well. Whatever you do, do it well to be called a good and faithful servant. The word „faithful” contains deep meaning. You can depend on a faithful servant; he is reliable; he never lets down.

May God help all of us to become good and faithful servants of the Lord in His Kingdom.

He realized that all these things are vanity and „grasping for the wind”. We saw the things Solomon sought as the source of enjoyment. First, he tried different delicacies. They brought satisfaction to Solomon’s body, but he soul remained empty and hungry.

  • The Kingdom of God III

Jesus brought God’s Kingdom to this earth and He wants us to be involved in the process of expanding His Kingdom here, on the earth. God wants His Kingdom to triumph over the earth. And there is no need to discuss whether it is going to happen or not, – this matter is already resolved; it will surely happen. What you need to decide is whether this spreading out will happen with your involvement or without it.I am sure that every believer that sincerely loves God desires to be part of this process, desires to have the Kingdom of God not only within him, but also to spread it all around.

  • Why do people choose to be irresponsible? II

Being responsible is connected to the condition of person’s heart. If the heart is wicked and the mind is not renewed, then it would be futile to expect responsible behaviour. The servant who buried his talent did not think highly of his lord. He considered his lord to be a cruel man who reaps where he has not sown and gathers where he has not scattered seed. Because of these ponderings in his heart he did not have the motivation to do his best
