What is calling? How to reveal personal calling and how to enter it?

Let peace and mercy from our Lord Jesus Christ multiply in your life today! I pray, so that God´s word impregnates and strengthens your soul, spirit and body. People often ask me a question how to reveal their personal calling. “What is calling? How to reveal personal calling and how to enter it? How to grow in personal calling?” – these are questions people ask me. Since the topic is vitally important, God urged me to enlighten it for broader audience.Recognising of your calling and your task in this life is a process that consists of many small details. Quite often, people try to reveal their calling, while neglecting those small details that make the whole process. Nowadays, many people are unhappy because they either lack revelation for their life or oppose to such revelation, or simply lack understanding of how to fulfil the revelation. Let´s figure it all out.First thing to know is the fact that you were born to carry out a certain task. Bible says our life on this Earth has a goal and value determined. You are not a result of an accident! You were born on this Earth not just for the matter of occupying some space and breathing. You´ve got a mission to fulfil, a way to measure. You are created to take care for others and saved to minister. There many places in the Bible talking about this. We are going to elaborate the verse from Paul´s letter to Ephesians 2:10
«For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.».
There is a very deep truth is buried in this short verse. Looking at the context we can notice that Paul is saying we are saved by faith not by our deeds. By faith we receive what God has done for us in Christ. Though, the Holy Spirit affirms that deeds must follow the act of salvation. In other words, we are not saved by deeds but to do deeds. “For we are His workmanship”, we didn´t come into this life by accident. Intelligent Creator made us. Our life has its source and roots in God. Hellenic word “poiema” interpreted as “creation” or “creature” is a stem of the word “poem” and talks about composition. Such word is used to describe any completed artwork like a statue, a song, a poetry or a painting. It stresses the fact, that we are the masterpieces created by the Almighty God. He is the designer of our lives, when we are just the products of His mastership.
«Know that Yahweh, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.» (Psalms 99:3).
We are His creation, so He created us in His likeness. Every person was created as unique, that´s why each of us is worthy and valuable. God is not a god of chaos and chance, but the Author of life, also the Author of your life from the moment you were conceived till your last day – everything has been already planned by Him.
«For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, For I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, When I was made in secret, Woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!!» (Psalms 138:13-17).
The God who created us, also counted our days on this Earth and things we are going to do. It´s only Him who knows how we are designed and how we should function. God made us according to His purpose for our life.
«For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.» (Jeremiah 29:11).
Reason about this verse from Scripture today and try to understand that God has god intentions to you. He has prepard a wonderful future for you!Meet you tomorrow!Lord bless you abundantly!Rufus Adjiboje, pastor

  • Any change in our life is done by the Holy Spirit, who transforms us and moves us from glory to glory

Are you able to accomplish something only the Holy Spirit can do? Surely not! However, by constantly watching the glory of the Lord with open face the Holy Spirit can transform us into the same image, from glory to glory.I noticed there is a problem with persistence in our fellowship with God not with coming before Him. You probably experience the time when inspiration visits you and you are willing to get closer to God and have fellowship with Him. While those moments come rather rarely or very rarely they do not change anything in essence. We all need persistence! During fellowship with God Holy Spirit will work at your heart, at your character, at your relationships, at your way of thinking that, in turn, will transform you.
  • Everything that is hidden will unavoidably be brought into the light

«For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil» (Ecclesiastes, 12:14). Solomon said the same thing Jesus said: God will bring into judgment our every work and especially all the hidden works: sins, wrongdoings that we have tried to keep in secret. God will openly bring our every deed into the light of His judgment. It means that all our sins will follow us wherever we go. The only way we can avoid the consequences of our sins and wrongdoings – is to repent before God brings them into the judgment. Repentance opens to us the door of mercy and grace from the Lord. It brings into our life new opportunities from the Lord. For this reason the only right lifestyle and the only correct decision is to repent of our wrongdoings so that God won’t have to judge us.
  • I desire mercy and not sacrifice

«As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, „Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him. Now it happened as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, „Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard that, He said to them, „Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance» (Mathew, 9:9-13).
  • What are the grounds or foundations of favour? II

Through faith in Jesus Christ we become clothed in his righteousness and nature. In the our spirit we have the perfect character of the Almighty God even though we do not become perfect in our actions immediately after becoming followers of Jesus. We reflect God’s life, character and thoughts more and more in our lives to that extent to which we submit ourselves to the new nature in our spirit. Our daily submission to God’s nature and character in us is what I call practical righteousness that qualifies us for God’s favour.
  • Jesus transforms those that follow Him III

We must keep God’s call to change right before our eyes as one of the most important goals. As soon as we come to God and enter His Kingdom, the desire to change and grow into the likeness of Jesus should be our single desire and our daily bread. And when we start changing, the things around us will change along with the inward changes we experience. Then the most awful situation will change for better and terrible problems will be solved. All of this will happen along with the transformation of our character in the process of the spiritual growth.
