God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom

Greetings to you, dear readers of our “Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!

I believe that the parable of Jesus about talents that we have been discussing for a long time will change our lives and our attitude towards God and the talents He has given us; it will change our ministry. What am I doing with my talents? Every person must ask himself this question, because our entire life depends on it. Greatness is not ascribed to the one who has everything and lives for himself, but to the one who is able to enrich and bless others even though he has little.

«..as sorrowful, yet as always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich…» (2 Corinthians, 6:10).

It is impossible to be a blessing to others without giving yourself to them.

I would like us today to look at Jesus’ parable about talents as it is recorded in the Gospel of Luke.

«So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’» (Luke, 19:13).

This verse clearly states that the master told his servants to do business with the things they were given. The master expected them to get some profit from his ‘investment’.

Today people do business with money in order not to lose the value of their money. The one who does it wisely receives dividends from his investments. The talents, gifts, abilities that are given to us by God, as well as our education, experience and other things we have today are to be used so that the glory of God would be multiplied. God desires us to invest ourselves and the things we have into people, into His Kingdom and His Church.

Unfortunately, too many people today are so focused on themselves and their own problems and interests that they do not have time for the development of their talents and using them for God. So many people do not even think about that.

I want to say to you today that God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom.

What are you doing with your talents? Think about it! Your deeds will speak louder than your words!

    I pray that all of us would hear this not only with our ears, but with our hearts. This parable of Jesus is about the Kingdom of God. One of the things Jesus taught intensively was the Kingdom of God. And there were serious reasons for it. The kingdoms of this earth will pass away, and a new Kingdom will come – the Kingdom of God.
