God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom

Greetings to you, dear readers of our „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!I believe that the parable of Jesus about talents that we have been discussing for a long time will change our lives and our attitude towards God and the talents He has given us; it will change our ministry. What am I doing with my talents? Every person must ask himself this question, because our entire life depends on it. Greatness is not ascribed to the one who has everything and lives for himself, but to the one who is able to enrich and bless others even though he has little.
«..as sorrowful, yet as always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich…» (2 Corinthians, 6:10).
It is impossible to be a blessing to others, not giving yourself to them.I would like us today to look at the Jesus’ parable about talents as it is recorded in the Gospel of Luke.
«So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’» (Luke, 19:13).
This verse clearly states that the master told his servants to do business with the things they were given. The master expected them to get some profit from his ‘investment’.Today people do business with money in order not to lose the value of their money . The one who does it wisely receives dividends from his investments. The talents, gifts, abilities that are given to us by God, as well as our education, experience and other things we have today are to be used so that the glory of God would be multiplied. God desires us to invest ourselves and the things we have into people, into His Kingdom and His Church.Unfortunately, too many people today are so focused on themselves and their own problems and interests; because of it they do not have time for the development of their talents and using them for God. So many people do not even think about that.I want to say to you today that God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom.What are you doing with your talents? Think about it!     After Solomon forsook God for a season, he tried to find happiness and satisfaction in different things and activities. We see that Solomon made several attempts which all lead to disappointment. For a wise person Solomon’s experience can become good lesson in what the wrong ways to happiness are. We mentioned that Solomon sought happiness in education and knowledge, in fun and pleasures, in beauty, in works of men’s hands. Afterwards he came to a conclusion that despite the fact that all these things are important and necessary for living, none of them can make us happy, if God is excluded from our life. Solomon said that everything under the sun is vanity and grasping for the wind. Solomon’s conclusion was that everything that happens under the sun is vanity and grasping for the wind – if apart from God.

    God lifts up and raises exactly those who agree to become responsible. Jesus speaks on this in the next passage:«For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.»(Мatth.25:29-30)

    «For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.»(Ephesians 2:8-10).Here we can see that person is not made righteous by his deeds. God never declares somebody righteous by his many good works. Vice verse, God makes righteous those who accept His gift by faith, namely Christ Jesus. A person becomes good in God´s eyes by faith when he believes in good works God has done in Christ.
