God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom

Greetings to you, dear readers of our “Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!I believe that the parable of Jesus about talents that we have been discussing for a long time will change our lives and our attitude towards God and the talents He has given us; it will change our ministry. What am I doing with my talents? Every person must ask himself this question, because our entire life depends on it. Greatness is not ascribed to the one who has everything and lives for himself, but to the one who is able to enrich and bless others even though he has little.
«..as sorrowful, yet as always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich…» (2 Corinthians, 6:10).
It is impossible to be a blessing to others without giving yourself to them.I would like us today to look at Jesus’ parable about talents as it is recorded in the Gospel of Luke.
«So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’» (Luke, 19:13).
This verse clearly states that the master told his servants to do business with the things they were given. The master expected them to get some profit from his ‘investment’.Today people do business with money in order not to lose the value of their money. The one who does it wisely receives dividends from his investments. The talents, gifts, abilities that are given to us by God, as well as our education, experience and other things we have today are to be used so that the glory of God would be multiplied. God desires us to invest ourselves and the things we have into people, into His Kingdom and His Church.Unfortunately, too many people today are so focused on themselves and their own problems and interests that they do not have time for the development of their talents and using them for God. So many people do not even think about that.I want to say to you today that God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom. What are you doing with your talents? Think about it! Your deeds will speak louder than your words!May God abundantly bless you on this wonderful day!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Your gift will make room for you! IV

In the Gospel of Mathew Jesus told a parable about Master giving his servants different talents. «For the kingdom of heaven is like a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey» (Mathew, 25: 14-15).Jesus shows us here that the criterion of His assessment is not quantity, but faithfulness. God know that every one of us has different abilities, so the quantitative result will be different for different people. Numbers are not important to Jesus; He cares about how faithful you have been with what God has given you. He cares about your attitude towards His work.
  • Our sins and the sins of others are the main reasons of tragedies

The majority of tragedies and disasters on earth that daily destroy great many people are a result of lawlessness of the people living on earth.«So you shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it. Therefore do not defile the land which you inhabit, in the midst of which I dwell; for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel» (Numbers, 35:33-34).
  • How to effectively study the Bible II

Sometimes one word in the Bible can be followed as a thread throughout all of the pages of the Book.I once sat down to write a letter to a brother. I prayed and asked God to help me write not just words, but to make it a blessing for this person. As I was writing, I noticed that I had started preaching in the letter. Later I put it aside, because one word had totally consumed my attention. I began to study this word in the Bible. I began studying the phrases like “God is able” and „God can”. I started reading all the verses that contained these phrases. It was so interesting that I totally forgot about the letter. The study of particular Bible words can be very interesting and profitable.
  • The forms of accountability in the life of a Christian

    (1) Teacher – apprentice. We see examples of this type of relationship in Moses and Joshua, Elijah and Elisha, Paul and Timothy. This form of accountability implies having a disciple or apprentice that you invest yourself into helping him to grow in God. This type of relationship means that a teacher is responsible for his disciple and the disciple submits to his teacher. It helps both teachers and disciples to grow in Jesus Christ and walk in submission to the Lord.
  • Purpose for living

Many people ask themselves a question of why they feel inner emptiness. So many continue to walk the wrong way in their lives, and it goes on day after day. They feel their life to be aimless and they continue their walk unmotivated.Multitudes of people do not have a clue of why they live and whether the life is worth living. All of these things happen because they do not have a clear purpose for living.
  • All great things always start small and insignificant

Yesterday we began talking about how all great things always start small and insignificant. In order to enter the fullness of your calling and ministry, we need to do what is revealed to us today whatever that would be. Your knowledge, your experience and your mind – these are all gifts from God which we can use in serving people. When you serve people with your gifts, then these gifts make room for you. «A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Studying the church history, we see that all of God’s generals didn’t start big. These people used what they had and did whatever they could. They began using the abilities they had. Eventually, their gifts found their place in the Body of Christ and grew into large ministries.
