Through prayer we invite God to take part in our lives

Greetings to you on this wonderful day God has given us! Every new day is a gift of God for people that live on this earth. We are still talking about prayer. Yesterday we established that we need to submit our plans to God’s plans, because His plans are already blessed. Let’s look at another important characteristic of effective prayer.Through prayer we invite God to take part in our lives.God does not come into our lives without being asked. Praying means to invite God to come and help us. It is a realization of the fact that I am weak and there is One Who is stronger than me, Who loves me and cares for me. Prayer is an invitation to the One Who is stronger than me and my circumstances.Do you remember Jairus? We read about him in Mark (5:22-23). He had sent his people to Jesus to invite Him to his house, because his daughter was on the verge of death.
“And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live”.”
Jairus begged Jesus to help his daughter. The truth is he was praying. It was an invitation for God to take part in the life of his daughter. Jairus realized how helpless he was and how serious his problem was: his daughter was dying. But he also knew about Jesus Who was strong and merciful and was able to solve his problem. Jesus came to his house, because he had ask Him to come and help. What could have happened if Jairus hadn’t invited Jesus? His daughter would have died. Someone might say: «Jairus invited Jesus but his daughter still died». Yes, it is true. But Jesus came and resurrected the girl. So when you pray and things do not go the way you desire, you must keep praying. When God enters a hopeless situation, He brings His resurrection power. Believe that God is able to ‘bring resurrection’ into any situation. So we mustn’t lose heart; we have to keep praying. If you pray for life but death comes, – just keep praying, because when Jesus comes He brings resurrection and life. Keep praying about the situations, even those that haven’t seen any changes for a very long time. Keep praying! Do not lose heart! Your answer is on its way!
„…men always ought to pray and not lose heart» (Luke, 18:1).
Be blessed!Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • All true ministry begins in the presence of God III

As we draw closer to God, we will be able to see our self in the light of God. Many people look at themselves from the standpoint of what other people are saying or what they are thinking about themselves. The fact is that only God knows the true states of your heart. As you stand in the presence of God He will help you to see yourself correctly. Not only will you see yourself from God’s perspective, but you will be transformed into His very image.
  • How can our relationships with other people help us change?

All people need change; we help each other through relationships that we are involved. God alone does not need to change; all the people, on the other side, desperately need to change. We need each other and we help each other to change. If we do not understand it and lose sight of it, then it will be hard for us to build any relationships.

  • What else forgiveness brings into our life

    2. Forgiveness gives us strength to walk through the stages of our life.& «Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.». • Everything that gets into God’s hands multiplies

For several days now we have been discussing the how the gift when it is used makes room for us and takes us before great people. When the gift is used it broadens our possibilities and destroys limitations. Thank God for creating us just the way we are.Dear friend, you have been given the things you need to start your supernatural ministry. Do not view your gift as being something small and insignificant. When Jesus told His disciples to feed the multitude, they argued with Him, saying: “We have here only five loaves and two fish”. I guess the disciples expected Jesus to say: «Oh, yes! Then let the people go, because we don’t have enough for everyone!» But Jesus did not say that. He managed to feel the multitude of people because one little boy gave back to the Lord the little he had.
