Changes always come from praying! II

Welcome, dear readers, to the pages of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification»! I thank God for every one of you and pray that your hunger for the Word of God and His wisdom would not grow cold. God’s wisdom casts out all darkness from our lives and brings promotion. We are still talking about the fact that changes and God’s miracles in our lives depend on us. The example of Hannah showed us that by trusting God, turning her tears into the prayer cry, believing in God even without seeing outward changes and being ridiculed and humiliated by the people around her, this woman experienced true miracle in her life.We have read about many of these types of situation in the Bible.
  • You remember Jacob who said to God,
«I will not let You go unless You bless me!» (Genesis, 32:26).
Jacob’s praying and tenacity became proof of his faith and thus he received an obvious miracle from God.
  • The Bible also tells us the story of blind Bartimaeus who kept crying out to Jesus for help until He stopped and listened to him.
“Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that is was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, „Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, „Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, „What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, „Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, „Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road” (Mark, 10: 46-52).
Bartimaeus himself caused his miracle and received his sight.
  • Hannah spoke to God pouring out unto Him her heart full of misery and distress.
«No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD» (1 Samuel, 1: 15).
In her prayer Hannah appeared as drunk to an outsider; she was totally lost in the presence of God and forgot about people around her.If you desire to see and experience a miracle from God in your life, then you must forget about what other people think of your prayer style. At the period of seeking God, you must be concerned about one thing only, – how sincere your heart is during praying and how big your desire is to experience His intervention. Keep trusting and crying out to God even when everybody else have grown weak and lost faith in any possibilities for your life to change. God loves consistent and faithful people. He always has a reward for that type of people.Tomorrow we will finish talking about this topic and we will see what the result was of Hannah’s prayer and trust.Wishing you God’s abundant blessings,Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Changed people think and act like God III

Talking about transformation we mean changes of our point view, changes in our hearts, in our characters and our circumstances. Any changes should take place within us first. I have to allow God to change myself and my character. Jesus said:«There is nothing from outside of the man, that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man.» (Mark 7:15).
  • You can prosper under any circumstances all it takes is for you to pay the price for God to be with you

No matter what you do, no matter what your status in life and no matter what your circumstances, if you can have access to the presence of God, you will succeed. Joseph was in slavery, sold to a foreign land by his own blood brothers, but that could not stop his prosperity. What really determine our success or prosperity in life is the presence of God with us. The way might not be easy. The journey might be longer than we think, but if God is with us the way will be decked with the goodness and the favour of God.
  • Worthy Goal for Life II

Yesterday we started talking about our goals. Everyone has them. We discussed that there are worthy and less worthy goals. We also saw that after meeting Christ, Paul devoted his life to Him; earnest expectation of Christ to be glorified in his body and through his life became his main goal in life. It is very important to ascertain for ourselves what our goals are.You and I have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ and we have peace with God. But it is just the beginning. Having been reconciled with God is just the beginning of the Christian walk. What awaits us afterwards? Through faith we gain Access to God’s grace and we expect the glory of God to be progressively revealed in us and through us.
  • Changes through Ministry

Many people do not understand the essence of faith. Faith brings progress into a person’s life. A person who believes God and lives by faith will not degrade; on the contrary, he will succeed and advance in his life. Faith lies at the basis of any progress in live, because it is faith that lifts us up and changes us for good. Have you noticed any obvious changes in your life since you got saved?
