If you desire to see God in your life and manifest Him through your life, you have to learn to dwell in the bosom of the Heavenly Father

Good day, dear friends! Thanks God for giving us another beautiful day to us! Thank God for another opportunity to fill our hearts again with the living word of God! We will continue our discourse on our supreme calling as believers to represent and manifest God on this Earth. Jesus didn’t just want to be the only one who could manifest God, He wanted His disciples to also reveal, reflect and manifest the nature and power of God on this Earth. As we consistently fellowship with God, we draw the strength, the authority and all the power we need to succeed in our calling to manifest God through our daily lives on earth.. 
« But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit ». (2nd Corinthians 3:18).
 If we pay keen attention to the above passage, we can draw the following lesson: 
  • We are called to behold the glory of the Lord. In other words, this is a call to focus our attention on Jesus as the only standard and model for our life. We can do that by focusing our attention on His word, His life and His examples.
 
  • The word “beholding” in the passage above means a continuous action. In other words we should keep beholding the glory of God all the time.
 
  • We have to do it with open (unveiled) face (open heart). Prejudices, religious preconceptions or traditions as well as sin can affect our sight and perception or keep our eyes from seeing. To behold with «unveiled face» -talks of been sincere and without any trace of hypocrisy or self-deceptive attitude. We should be natural and sincere in our attempt to behold the glory of the Lord.

  • We cannot change ourselves by any of our efforts. It is only the Spirit of the Lord that is capable of genuinely changing us. Beholding the glory of the Lord is the only thing we are to do. He will do the changing as long as we continue to behold Him.
 
  • The transformation and change from the Spirit of the Lord will take place gradually. So don’t give up if you do not see any rapid and immediate or obvious changes. This should not lead you to conclude that nothing is happening in your life. If we continuously press into His glory with an open and unveiled face in order to behold His glory, the Spirit of the Lord will definitely transform us from glory to glory.
 
«Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it is not yet revealed what we will be. But we know that, when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure». (1st John 3:1-3).
 God loves us, that is the reason He made us and called us His children. The Heavenly Father takes responsibility for us as His children. He cares for our lives and He is concern about the direction of our lives. You see, now I am a child of God and have a loving Father, but there are still many things potentially hidden in me that I do not know now. When those things are finally revealed, I will become more like my Father. However, these things are been reveal because I can l behold Him as He is. When we wait upon the Lord and behold Him through the spiritual discipline of devotion, quite time, solitude, bible study and so on, then are transformed all the more into His likeness. When I can finally see Him I’ll become like Him. Everybody who delights in seeing Him face to face, anyone who has the bold desire and expectation to be like Him will clean himself and live a more consecrated life even though he might be pure by some standards. If you desire to see God in your life and manifest Him through your life, you have to learn to dwell in the bosom of the Heavenly Father. Forgiveness gives us strength to walk through the stages of our life.& «Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.». (Hebrews 12:1-2).

  • Discipline is one of the ways how God transforms His children into the image of Jesus Christ

    We can miss many important and useful opportunities in life if we underestimate what is going on in our lives. God’s discipline is one of these opportunities. Believers have a tendency to despise the discipline of their Heavenly Father. Yet in the Epistle to Hebrews The Lord is calling us to resist the wrong attitude of some believers towards God’s discipline. It says in the Bible: « My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him» (Hebrews, 12:5). The believers that are focused on comfort usually are indifferent towards the truth of God disciplining them. Some of them aren’t even bothered by their sins or irresponsibility. People like that want to be blessed by God, yet they despise God’s discipline. The Bible also tells us that punishment is profitable for us and not God.

    Knowledge is an understanding of theory of what we have to do and why. In order to make something as your habit you need to understand the theoretical aspects of such necessity. How is it connected to our praying life? Let me explain that. We acquire knowledge by reading the Bible, Word of God. We know why we have to pray, then we can make a habit of praying, just because we know what we have to do. We should pray without ceasing – I know this and so I do why. Let me elaborate on it.     Let’s try to find the answer to that question today.The Bible declares that faith comes from hearing God’s Word (Rom.10:17). So if you want your faith to grow, my advice to you is this– continue to listen to Gods word and fill your heart and mind with it.At the same time be ready for your faith to be tested. You cannot find out if your faith is growing without examination. Problems and trials are tests of your faith.
