How to find and fulfil God’s will?

Greetings to you, dear friends! Grace and peace to you from our Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ! Today I would like to start talking about how to find and fulfil God’s will. What do we really mean when we ask ourselves: «What is God’s will for me?» The majority of people want to know: «What is God’s plan for me in this situation? What would be the right decision in this situation?» We want to receive some directions and instructions from God in various life situations. We want to know God’s voice, since knowing His voice leads to knowing His will. God also wants every one of us to know His will in all things.
It is extremely important for every one of us to hear from God ! It says in the Bible : “But He answered and said, „It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” (Mathew, 4:4).
So this verse of the Scripture tells us that we need to live in compliance with the words that proceed out of the mouth of God. The word “proceed” that is used in this verse points to the continual activity; it means Jesus was referring to something that had either happened in the past or is happening at the moment or something that will happen in the future. God has always been speaking for all the time in order to reveal His will to us. That is why it is so important to know His voice! The original Greek word which has been translated as „words” in this verse is RHEMA or RHEMATOS; it implies any words that God is continuing to speak out. It does not mean that God suggests we add something to the Bible, but that He keeps talking to us both through the Bible and His Spirit. God’s Word continues to be real and alive to us. Jesus said:
«The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life» (John, 6:63) .
It means the Bible continually ‘talks’ to us, being filled with the breath of God Himself. The Bible is a living book that brings life and is filled with power. God still talks to us through this book! The Holy Spirit fills every word in the Bible with life, and that is why the Bible continues to speak to us until today. The Bible is to us like the voice of God over the waters:
«The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is over many waters» (Psalm, 29:3).
Water symbolizes the word of God in the Bible:
«…that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word» (Ephesians, 5:26).
Thus, God Himself and God’s voice stand behind every word of the Bible. If we listen carefully, then the written words become alive and resonate in our hearts making us invincible in different life situations and circumstances. God still speaks! The Bible uses two Greek words that are translated as ‘word’ in the Bible: LOGOS and RHEMALogos means ‘an expression of thought’; it embodies a concept or an idea; it is not just a name or a title. For example, the Bible calls Jesus ‘the Word’, because Jesus embodies God and is the expression of His will and thoughts. Look at the following Bible verses:
«And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth » (John, 1:14).

«God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high »(Hebrews, 1:1-3).
But Rhema is that which is said by a living voice; it is a pronounced word or sound, spoken by a voice and having a particular meaning. Rhema is the sounding out aloud of a inner thought about a particular person or situation, about a particular thing or case. Rhema is a personal, living word from God that brings life. In other words, rhema is God’s personal message to a person, a nation or a group of people. God talks to us personally! Let’s continue tomorrow! God bless you! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Sacrifice as a measure of love! III

It is not hard to love God – simply think about Him, think about what He does for you every day, and your natural response will be gratefulness. Worshipping God will become a natural thing for those who think about Him and His works. God loves you very much. But, if you live and at the same time do not think about Him, do not see what He does for you, it is hard for you to sacrifice; particularly – it is hard for you to sacrifice your busy daily schedule, your finances, your time, your comfort, because you do not think about Him.

« Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention; … Then will they call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me; Because they hated knowledge, And didn’t choose the fear of Yahweh. » (Proverbs 1:24, 28, 29).In these verses God tells us about the necessity to change our attitude towards His call, otherwise He would not listen to our calling the time we run to Him with our petitions. Forget about your own problems and take part in finding solutions for the needs and problems God has today, He will become a part of a solution for your problems then.
  • Organization of effective prayer life III

Prayer is getting close to God.Let’s look at James (4:8): «Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…».Prayer means to consciously draw near to God. Prayer means to approach God on purpose.Who of you wants to draw near to God? Who of you desires for God to draw near to you? God cannot be closer to you than He is. But you can draw near to Him. God is so close to us; He says: „I am here!” You are asking: «God, where are You?” Remember when Elijah ran away and cried: «God, where are You?” But God was with him. God is everywhere! And we can draw near to Him through prayer.

Today I want to encourage you not to burry your dream, even when everything around you tells you that it won’t ever come true. There is such a thing as the power of resurrection. That is the word I want to bring to you.We started to talk about a woman whose hospitality and generosity brought a miracle into her life, and as a result she gave birth to a son.
