The chief hindrances that block God’s power from working for us

Hello Friends! Isn’t it wonderful to know that God loves you and will stand with you in all life situations? God loves for us has been proofed and demonstrated in Christ. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us and because of His sacrifices for our sins; we now have access to everything we need for life and godliness.
“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32).
However, we need to remove all hindrances from our lives that block the free flow of His grace and power in our lives.Today I want to talk about one of the chief hindrances that block God’s power from working for us and I will be addressing the issue of sin.Jesus sometimes connects sickness with sins. This is not always the true for every sickness or situation (John 9:1-3), but very often our problems are connected to some unconfessed sins in our lives.
“And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. 2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee” (Matthew 9:1-8).
As you can see from here, the first thing Jesus will say to this sick man is, “thy sins be forgiven thee”. Obviously Jesus tied the sickness of this man with sins he has committed. Another case where Jesus connected sin with sickness or problems is in the following scripture:
“And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. 14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee”(John 5:13-14).
Jesus told this man that has just been healed, if you don’t stop sinning, worse things can happen to you. Here again Jesus connected sickness and trouble with sins. This is the reason we are told to confess our sins one to another so that we can be healed.
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed” (James 5: 16).
  • Are you faced with health problems right now?
  • Are you facing some challenging situations in your life at the moment?
Please make sure you start your search for solutions at the right place. Confess your sins! Take some times today to search your life, is there any unconfessed sins you are harbouring in your heart?Remember,
„He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy” (Proverb 28: 13).
Have a blessed day! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

Is it possible that you need rest or take a break from God? Is it possible that you need rest from serving Him? No! We can serve God everywhere. You can be on a plane and serve people who sit by you. You can serve God on a beach, at work, everywhere; because in all of these places there are people who need God.
  • Life is short

All things we have mentioned so far are connected together. Life is time, life is a goal, life is a test, life is trust, and now life is short. This world as we know it now is not your home. God has a New Heaven and a new earth. The kingdom and the system of this world will be overthrown so that it becomes the Kingdom of our God and His Christ. Your life itself is regarded as a vapour that appears for a little time.
  • Your gift will make room for you! III

We have been talking about how all big things start small, whether it is a known person, great ministry, great accomplishments or great influence. It all starts when a person does what he can do and does it with all his might as unto the Lord with faith and consistency. When one has such attitude towards life he will have his or her reward from the Lord. Such a person will be blessed and exalted by God. His or her gift will make room for him or her in God’s overall picture and the Body of Christ.Person’s gift will make room for him and will bring him before great men, – this is on of the Bible principles; the Bible teaches about it and also it can be seen in the lives of the people in the Bible.
  • On what does your destiny depend? II

«My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life» (Proverbs, 4:20-23). Based on this Scripture, we can argue that the course of your life, my destiny or yours should not depend on somebody else but on ourselves. You must take charge of your life and destiny!
  • The law of multiplication

If we have seed and sow it in good ground, then we will definitely see a harvest. Seed will grow. Sown seed first gives blade, then head and then grain in the head. Multiplication and growth always imply process. It is unavoidable if we want to receive harvest. We just have to do our part. First, that we have to understand in order to receive harvest is that we need some seed. The truth is that we already have seed. If you want to see multiplication in some area of your life you should know that you already have seed from God.
  • God wants prayer to become priority in the lives of His children!

Everything that devil has bound up in your life – your miracle, your promises, – can be released to you by the supernatural power of God. But for it to happen, prayer must become your number 1 priority.Take any Bible story and you will see what powerful prayer of believers is able to accomplish. For example, what did Daniel do when he was thrown into lions’ den? Did he pray? No, it was too late to pray. He had been praying long before he got to this point in his life. It is too late to pray when you are in a den with some lions. You must pray before anything like that happens! Daniel prayed three times a day every day.
