Only God can tell us the way we can please Him through our ministry

Hello dear wonderful children of God! Continuing our topic on Christian ministry, I want to especially underline today that it is possible to serve God in many different ways. However, in whatever way you serve the Lord, it is essential to know that it is necessary to serve God in such a way that your service will be accepted by Him. Only God can tell us the way we can please Him through our ministry. Here is what God told the people in the Old Testament: Ex.23: 19а In the above Bible passage, God is very clearly stating the necessity of His people bringing the first fruits of their land into the house of God. (notice that He said to bring the first fruits and not the leftovers). When the people brought their offerings to God, they were not to bring the old, tired, wounded and lame sheep. No, they were to bring the first and best of their fruits – the first fruits of the earth. Ex. 12: 5 We should serve God on His conditions, instead of on our own conditions! When David wanted to serve God and make an offering unto the Lord, he refused to sacrifice to God that which cost him anything. 2 Sam. 24: 18-25 Can we serve God on His conditions instead of ours? Does our service to God cost us something? Do we give to God the rest of our time, which in any case is not valuable, or do we give it from the very beginning? Do we give to God the leftovers of our time, or do we commit the first fruits of our time to God? Do we serve God only when it is convenient and favorable for us, or are we ready to sacrifice our comfort for the sake of the interests of the Kingdom of God? The story of the poor widow in the Bible should stir our hearts to reconsider our attitudes to serving God: Mark 12: 41-44 The Lord constantly observes each of us as we serve Him or invest our resources in His heavenly treasury. He does not look only at what we do, but also at how we do it. He looks at the heart and the motive with which we do all that we are doing in His name’s sake. Many of those who want to serve God are thinking only of giving God the remains or leftovers of their resources, time, or gifts. But God is saying that He wants our first fruits or our best. One of the problems of our generation is busyness. We have so many things to do at a time that we do not have time for God and His business. It is often possible to hear: «I cannot today…» «It is raining on the street today…» «I have got small children, a family to take care of…» Luke 14: 18-20 Are you committed to going to work every Monday morning? Are you committed to arriving at your workplace on time? If you answer yes to either of the above two questions, then my question to you is this: what is your attitude when it comes to serving God and His purposes? Are you committed to God? Serving God is of course a voluntary decision, but once we make such a decision, should we serve from the heart as unto the Lord, or do we just do the work of the Lord carelessly?Colossians 3: 17, 23 Give to the Lord the best; after all, He was the one who first gave us His best. This is the word of the Lord for you today! God bless you! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • The blessedness or beauty of serving others!

Ministry is a widespread concept among believers. In essence, ministry is giving of all things: giving of one’s talents and gifts, one’s knowledge and time, one’s heart and resources. The Kingdom of God is built through such giving. Your church is built by your giving and ministry. It says in the Bible that it is more blessed to give than to receive. God blesses those who serve, so if you want to get to the top of God’s blessedness learn to serve God and people.
  • How to develop a habit of prayer in our life?

«Thanks God, I already have such habit». I am glad about you. The other might say «I´ve already tried, but failed to do so”. I am glad about you too.I pray today, so that this Word helps you to overcome your weakness and instability solving this issue.First of all, I want to stress out the fact, that prayer is love relationships with God. Why do I mention that and why it´s so important when you try to make prayer as your habit. We already discussed it, that prayer is not learning of different methods about how convince God to do our will. Lack of necessity to pray is one of few reasons why believers pray just a little.
  • God wants prayer to become priority in the lives of His children!

Everything that devil has bound up in your life – your miracle, your promises, – can be released to you by the supernatural power of God. But for it to happen, prayer must become your number 1 priority.Take any Bible story and you will see what powerful prayer of believers is able to accomplish. For example, what did Daniel do when he was thrown into lions’ den? Did he pray? No, it was too late to pray. He had been praying long before he got to this point in his life. It is too late to pray when you are in a den with some lions. You must pray before anything like that happens! Daniel prayed three times a day every day.
  • In our lives we must reflect the life, the power and the nature of Christ II

It says in the Bible: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path» (Psalm, 119:105). It is God’s Word that starts the light of God in our hearts and leads our steps on the right path: «You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness» (Psalm, 18:28).
  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.
  • We are the new creation in Christ Jesus, made for good deeds the Lord has determined for us

«For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works …» (Ephesians 2:10).God has created you with a purpose. We are created and made for ministry on this Earth. Life without purpose is similar to a movement without a direction. Once we clarify who we are in God and what He has done for us – we immediately realise why we are here in this world. So we are made for good works.
