How does planning benefit us?

Good day, dear friends! Today I want to continue the topic about the importance of planning. As we already talked about yesterday, planning helps us to discover our purpose in life and direct our efforts towards the fulfilment of this purpose. I would like us to see a few more reasons why success is impossible without a skill to plan success. How does planning benefit us?
  • Planning helps to effectively communicate our vision, desires and our expectations to others.
Planning not only gives us a better understanding of the task, it also helps us to effectively pass on our wishes and expectations to others who will team with us to carry out the task. How can you ask for help from others, if you do not have a clear understanding of what you really want to accomplish? During the process of planning, your ideas will become more specific and clearer, and then you can effectively pass them on to others.
  • Planning helps us pray for our goal effectively and specifically.
When we have a correct and clear understanding of our task, it is easier for us to pray specifically and practice our faith, because we know what we want or expect. Occasionally our prayers are too general, because we do not know ourselves what we want. Planning takes away all the confussions from our minds and makes our prayers effective and active.
  • Planning makes us submit ourselves to a definite plan of action.
Planning makes us submit ourselves to a definite plan of action instead of occassonally drifting away from our goals. If you want to be successful, you will have to discipline yourself. But, what does disciplining oneself mean? This means to submit oneself to a definite order and rules. Where there are no rules, discipline is out of the equation. For instance, if I have a rule to get up at 6 o’clock every morning, my discipline is to submit myself to this rule. The same way, by planning, you make an action plan, which froms the platform for discipline. This is what Paul thought about when he wrote:
„Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” (1Cor 9:25).
All who competes for a price like sportsmen or athletes put themselves under a definite discipline. Not only do they have a vision about their goals, they also decide for themselves to have training schedules that they submit themselves to later. They deliberately restrict themselves from some things in order to reach their goals. Do you discipline yourself? Are there rules defined in your life that you submit yourself to? Are you reaching the godly aims set before you as a result of these rules? Do not forget that there will be no success without discipline, but planning helps us become more disciplined. Planning and success go hand in hand, therefore he whosoever does not plan his or her their success, is automatically planning defeat. Remember: If you do not plan your success, you are still planning something; only in this case, you are planning your defeat!(For more detailed study of this topic, I recommend that you read my book “Too Busy to Live Right”). May the Lord help you enter your godly destiny! Blessings to you from the Lord Jesus Christ! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Life is a trust

You should understand there is nothing that belongs to you. Your life itself is not yours, it’s a trust God has shown to you. Understanding this truth changes the way you respond to what is going on around you.You do not live for yourself; you did not appear on this Earth by your own act of will or for your own personal purpose. God has given life to you as a sign of His trust for you. You are entrusted with life from God and the day will come when you will have to give account to God for the life He given to you, – for all your deeds and words while living in your body.
  • If you will not initiate changes, they will never happen in your life

It is time to know that changes are initiated rather than expected. Changes do not happen by chance, they happen because someone initiated them. When it was dark and void all around, God initiated change by introducing light. He said “Let there be light”.“In the beginning, when God created the universe, the earth was formless and desolate. The raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness, and the Spirit of God was moving over the water. Then God commanded, “Let there be light”—and light appeared” (Gen.1: 1-3)
  • Organization of effective prayer life

Prayer is a very important and necessary part of our spiritual life and can be compared to breathing, which is vital for our physical life. In other words, prayer is our spiritual breathing. The one who is not breathing is not alive. In the very same way, prayer is what makes us alive in spiritual sense. Thus, without prayer we are spiritually dead. This year we have talked a lot about serving God, and it is very important as well. We need to serve God! We need to serve people! But we will never be effective in our ministry to God and people without effective prayer.Remember it!
  • Let’s first win the hearts of people..

Today I’d like us to discuss about the life of Abraham. I believe God wants to show us some very important principles that can be gleaned from the life of Abraham and in his relationship with God. “Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis, 12:1-3)
  • Moving your mountains

Very often we speak about our problems instead of speaking to them. Very often we tell God about our problems instead of telling our problems about our God. The Bible instructs us to do it differently. You are instructed toSpeak to your mountains Tell it to move Believe in your heart and doubt not and you will have what you say.
  • When we pray, invisible chains that bind people suddenly fall off! II

You may ask why people act the way they act? Why don’t people sometimes understand very elementary things? Why do people hear the truth, but do not change? There are invisible things that keep people in bondage. There are strongholds that cannot be destroyed by teaching, sermons, instructions and lectures. They are spiritual things. What happens when the church prays? These strongholds collapse and some real changes take place. We cannot afford not to pray and try to admonish other people; usually people listen to us, say that they understand, but do the same thing all over again.
