Planning helps us to discover for ourselves the goal of our lives and steer our efforts towards fulfilling this goal

Peace upon you on this wonderful day! Today, I want to share with you the word about the importance of planning. Plan has a direct connection to our future. Planning is looking into our future and making assumptions of what our tomorrow will be like, and composing definite action steps in order for our life to flow according to the set course, instead of drifting. Nobody plans yesterday, and it is too late already to plan today. We plan the next day, the next week, the next month. We plan the future. Whoever does not want to think about the future, will be forced to live only in the past or only in the now. Through planning, we decide what our action steps will be like and what our desired result will be, according to our action. Planning is thinking about your future with a purpose, using all the currently available information and possibilities and using those wisely for your future.Planning is one of the expressions of wisdom, therefore those who do not plan are openly demonstrating their foolishness and ignorance. Planning helps us to discover for ourselves the goal of our lives and steer our efforts towards fulfilling this goal. The Bible says,
„Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.” (Proverbs 29: 18).
Another translation of „revelation” means revelation of the redemptive purposes of God, but the phrase „cast off restraint” is translated as „destruction”. Thus, without a clear understanding of the redemptive purposes of God, the nation of God is destroyed because they cast off restraint.  A nation is destroyed when they do not have a clear understanding where they are going and how they will get there. Many people are destroyed because they do not have a vision or understanding about the goal of life. Where there is no revelation about godly destiny, there will be no direction, no planning, and no strategies. Without vision or the understanding of purpose, all of our efforts will only lead to disappointment. Without the revelation about purpose, all of our efforts will be directed at nothing. Planning helps us to discover our purpose in life and steer our efforts towards the fulfilment of this purpose. It helps us to clearly understand our purpose and the direction toward which we are heading. A person cannot start planning unless he first understands where he is going or what he really wants. Planning forces us to address and settle such issues. Planning demands that a person have a definite and clear goal. Sometimes our understanding of our purpose or goal in life is too blurry, non-specific and general. Therefore it is sometimes hard to move forward to reach the goal. But planning helps us to be definite in relation to what we really want in life and how we are going to reach it. Have you defined what you want in your life? Toward what are you directing your efforts at present? Does that correspond to the goals or mission of your life? Before you cram up your planner with various programmes and activities, ask yourself: What do I want to achieve in my life and how will these activities help me to reach my goal? Remember: He who does not plan is openly showing his foolishness and ignorance. We will continue this topic tomorrow. May the Lord bless you! «Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! ’» (Matthew, 7:21-23).

« Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention; … Then will they call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me; Because they hated knowledge, And didn’t choose the fear of Yahweh. » (Proverbs 1:24, 28, 29).In these verses God tells us about the necessity to change our attitude towards His call, otherwise He would not listen to our calling the time we run to Him with our petitions. Forget about your own problems and take part in finding solutions for the needs and problems God has today, He will become a part of a solution for your problems then.
  • How can we experience God in our life?

Studying the Bible we see God doing great feats through many people. He was able to realise His intentions using those people just due to their revelation and understanding of God´s key principles. While living in the different times, educated on a different level, belonged to the different cultures all Bible heroes basically have something in common. The secret of the success and feats they had is obvious – they knew God and interacted with Him. They experienced God´s power and His mercy in their lives. How did they succeeded? It became possible because they dedicated themselves to God. That´s exactly what God is inviting us to do.
  • God is more interested in your spiritual growth, development of your character than a quick answer to your prayers!

It would not be hard for God to give you what you are asking for; it is a lot harder to cause changes in you and your character. Humans tend to be so ungrateful. The people of Israel were wandering through the desert; they called out to God, He answered them, but it did not change them. Afterwards, when a different problem came they called out to God again, and He answered them and gave what they had asked for. Nevertheless, their hearts remained unchanged. God can answer your prayers again and again, but it is not a guarantee of permanent changes in your life. Quite often God allows certain situations in our lives that help us to grow spiritually.
  • Your gift will make room for you! II

«A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Studying the church history, we see that all of God’s generals didn’t start big. These people used what they had and did whatever they could. They began using the abilities they had. Eventually, their gifts found their place in the Body of Christ and grew into large ministries. For example, Dr. T.L. Osborn saw that people needed salvation, so he started meeting this need to the best of his ability: he started printing little tracts on his printing machine and went door to door leaving them in their post boxes. At the time he couldn’t even imagine that it will lead him to huge international evangelistic ministry that he has today.
