Allow you trouble to enlarge you instead of breaking you

Hello friends! You are welcome to our daily word for the day. God’s word for you today is this: allow your trouble to enlarge you instead of breaking you.Trouble can either break you or make you. It all depends on your reaction. We will examine the example of David and allow him to teach us today how to react in difficult situations.
“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. 2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. 3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. 4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. 6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. 7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. 8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:1-8).
We can see from our text that people have turned David’s glory into shame and made a mockery of him and of his God. However in all these situations, David’s reaction was to trust the Lord and act righteously. He reacted to his troubles in a godly manner by following the principles of God’s kingdom, the principles of faith and love. David acted rightly because of his knowledge of God. He called upon the Lord and the Lord answered him. God doesn’t answer all prayers, but God has set apart for himself the godly to answer whenever they call upon him. If you act godly in all situations of life, God has promised you that you will prosper like a tree by the riverside, bear fruit in your season, and you will never wither or faint. The godly will prosper and grow despite all the odds of life because he doesn’t walk in the ways of sinners nor sit in the seat of scoffers; rather, he meditates on the law of God day and night. This is why his reaction to trouble is godly. David said he could sleep peacefully despite his trouble, and his heart was filled with gladness more than those who have material gains. Why? David has learned to react to life’s situations in faith and has cultivated the act of walking in love. When the whole situation was over, David could say that his troubles had not decreased him, but had rather enlarged him: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress God’s word for you today is this: allow your trouble to enrich and enlarge you instead of allowing it to break you. Remember, you cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control your reaction, and it is your reaction that will determine your destiny. May the Lord enlarge you through your troubles in Jesus’ name! See you tomorrow. • Worthy Goal for Life II

Yesterday we started talking about our goals. Everyone has them. We discussed that there are worthy and less worthy goals. We also saw that after meeting Christ, Paul devoted his life to Him; earnest expectation of Christ to be glorified in his body and through his life became his main goal in life. It is very important to ascertain for ourselves what our goals are.You and I have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ and we have peace with God. But it is just the beginning. Having been reconciled with God is just the beginning of the Christian walk. What awaits us afterwards? Through faith we gain Access to God’s grace and we expect the glory of God to be progressively revealed in us and through us.
  • What it means to accept personal responsibility

If you can remember, yesterday we talked about the fact that what defiles a person is not what is done to him, but his personal reaction to that. In the following Scripture we saw that neither the man nor the woman were willing to take personal responsibility for their actions.„The man said, “The woman you put here with me–she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.» Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” (GEN 3:12-13)
  • You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice! II

All the consequence of sinful life, all the guilt, shame and limitations that have entered our life because of sin can be annulled only in Christ. In Christ we have gained new life and new opportunities. Now none of us can complain that he cannot realize his potential because of some past mistakes or difficult circumstances. God has declared us free from any consequences of sin. In Him you will realize all of your inner potential. In Christ God has given all of us a solution and a way out!
  • Only God can tell us the way we can please Him through our ministry

Can we serve God on His conditions, instead of ours? does our service to God cost us something? Whether we give to God the rests of our time which and so is not present, or we give to It from the rudiments? Do we give to God the left over of times or do we commit the first fruit of our time to God? Do we serve God only when that is convenient and favourablу for us, or we are ready to sacrifice our comfort for the sake of the interests of the Kingdom God?
  • God is more interested in your spiritual growth, development of your character than a quick answer to your prayers!

It would not be hard for God to give you what you are asking for; it is a lot harder to cause changes in you and your character. Humans tend to be so ungrateful. The people of Israel were wandering through the desert; they called out to God, He answered them, but it did not change them. Afterwards, when a different problem came they called out to God again, and He answered them and gave what they had asked for. Nevertheless, their hearts remained unchanged. God can answer your prayers again and again, but it is not a guarantee of permanent changes in your life. Quite often God allows certain situations in our lives that help us to grow spiritually.
  • Faith is obedience to the Lord! II

«Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.» (Hebrew 11:6). As we mentioned earlier, faith means acting in accordance to the word of God. Quite often God calls us to do impossible things, those only God Himself can accomplish. God is not inviting us to demonstrate our own capabilities, but what He is able to do through us. That´s why God often gives us the tasks we cannot accomplish without Him.
