Allow you trouble to enlarge you instead of breaking you

Hello friends! You are welcome to our daily word for the day. God’s word for you today is this: allow your trouble to enlarge you instead of breaking you.Trouble can either break you or make you. It all depends on your reaction. We will examine the example of David and allow him to teach us today how to react in difficult situations.
“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. 2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. 3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. 4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. 6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. 7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. 8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:1-8).
We can see from our text that people have turned David’s glory into shame and made a mockery of him and of his God. However in all these situations, David’s reaction was to trust the Lord and act righteously. He reacted to his troubles in a godly manner by following the principles of God’s kingdom, the principles of faith and love. David acted rightly because of his knowledge of God. He called upon the Lord and the Lord answered him. God doesn’t answer all prayers, but God has set apart for himself the godly to answer whenever they call upon him. If you act godly in all situations of life, God has promised you that you will prosper like a tree by the riverside, bear fruit in your season, and you will never wither or faint. The godly will prosper and grow despite all the odds of life because he doesn’t walk in the ways of sinners nor sit in the seat of scoffers; rather, he meditates on the law of God day and night. This is why his reaction to trouble is godly. David said he could sleep peacefully despite his trouble, and his heart was filled with gladness more than those who have material gains. Why? David has learned to react to life’s situations in faith and has cultivated the act of walking in love. When the whole situation was over, David could say that his troubles had not decreased him, but had rather enlarged him: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress God’s word for you today is this: allow your trouble to enrich and enlarge you instead of allowing it to break you. Remember, you cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control your reaction, and it is your reaction that will determine your destiny. May the Lord enlarge you through your troubles in Jesus’ name! See you tomorrow. • We must be grateful to God in all things!

When things go fine and when God answers our prayers, it is easy to thank God, – at those times we thank God and adore Him. But as soon as God decides to answer us in a way that does not fit our plans, we start thinking whether there is any sense in prayer. The Bible calls us to thank God in everything. The Bible calls us to praise God aloud so that other people would hear it. Be grateful to God, praise him, and sing to Him – aloud! Thanksgiving is the very model of prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples.
  • Our highest calling – to reveal God in our flesh II

Jesus dwells in me, therefore I must manifest His life to others. Jesus did not reveal Himself to others; He only revealed and manifested to others Who the Father is and He did only the Father’s will. God said in His Word that whoever glorifies Him will also be glorified by Him. When God glorifies or uplift you, nobody can break, humiliate or pull you down.«Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing» (2 Corinthians, 2:14-15).
  • Changes mean working hard persistently II

While growing up and changing we will see how we become more patient. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit God wants to be visible in your life. Therefore, God sometimes permits conflicts in your life, to help you with developing the fruit of patience. God desires to trample our pride thus transforming us into likeness of loving, persevere Christ. You are still arrogant if you show resentment at nonsense. God desires to help you to get rid of this arrogance. That´s why He allows people to do wrong to us. God is trying to teach us how to handle such situations, so that we are able to build relationships with people as His representatives on this Earth. Everything God permits in our life works together for good if we let Him mould us.
  • What is favour? II

It is so wonderful that God has given us a full manual for wholesome living. Bible is full of principles and instructions for a happy life on the earth, and – the most important – it gives us a guarantee of eternal life. Every wise person not only reads the Bible, but also uses its principles in his daily walk.
  • Your surrounding has an impact on you, it determines whether you enter the destiny God has prepared for you or you don´t

How and with whom you spend your time reflect your consecration and desire to do God´s will. Looking at the life of Jesus, we can see whom He preferred to spend most of His time with, namely, those who similar to Him desired to do God´s will. If you surround yourself with people who are not going anywhere in this life, you will soon lose your purpose and direction in your life as well. Spending a lot of time with those who have no revelation about their lives soon also you won´t be able to see the goal of your life. Exactly these things happened to Abraham. God called him out of his country, his relatives and his father´s house to the land God showed to him.
  • Definitely write down the vision you receive from God II

«…Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.» (Habakkuk 2:2).Make notes of everything you believe in, everything that God speaks to your heart during prayer, fasting or Bible studies on the paper! For example, you may say: “I wish I could preach the word of God followed by miracles and wondrous things”, or “I wish I could bring relief to orphans by giving some of them a shelter in my house”, or ”I want to establish a school for those who would minister in the church”.
