Definitely write down the vision you receive from God II

Dear readers, welcome to the  of our column “Daily word for spiritual  edification ”!  I thank God everyone of you, my readers and I pray that your hunger for God’w word, His wisdom and communion with Him will never wax cold, because He is the source of life.As we have clarified, God reveals His covenant and His secrets to certain category of people, namely:
  • God reveals His secrets to those who fear and love Him.
  • God reveals His secrets to those standing on their watch.
  • God reveals His secrets to those who sincerely ask Him questions.
  • God also reveals His secrets to those who value His revelations enough to write them down
So yesterday we discussed in details the importance of  writing down your revelations and visions received from God.It´s very important that you understand this. It’s very common to se someone making a serious decision regarding certain issue in his life  and is determined to follow through  with that  decision. But somehow his determination begins to wobble and change according to his mood or his circumstances.Sometimes we doubt whether the vision we had came from God or it was just our own idea. Sometimes we rather agree that as humans we are limited in our abilities, thus we limit the scope of what God wants to fulfil in us and through us.However, the Scriptures say:
«… for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.» (James 1:6-8).
Written or recorded words create  a memorial or a monuments to truth, allowing you to run confidently towards your goal. Recorded vision allows you to always keep your vision before your eyes. When you re-read the vision, faith rises up inside you, giving you the ability to move forward and implement your vision.Write your vision down! Add to that vision  promises from Scriptures that would stimulate you to move towards the implementation of your vision.By writting down you vision, you make it clearer for yourself, and that, in turn, helps you to develop real strategies and clearer plans to achieve your vision. Without these things your vision will die.Yet another benefit of writing your vision down is that it helps other people to acquaint themselves with your vision, thus providing the opportunity for others to join  with you in it’s implementation. Writtind down your vision  will help you in the process of communicating, passing  and delegating it  to those who would like to help you  to fulfill your vision.Having  acquainted themlves with your recorded vision, people will understand it and join with you,  contributing efforts and time  and all that is needed for the fulfillment of the vision. Moreover, by writing down your vision, you allow certain group of people  to rally together as they participate in the execution of your God-given vision.  This will give direction and guidance to those whom God has called to help you.
«…Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.» (Habakkuk 2:2).
Record everything you believe God is speaking to your heart during prayer, fasting or Bible studies! For example, you may say:“I want to preach the word of God with signs and wonders following”, or “I want bring relief to orphans building homes for them”, or ”I want to establish school that will empower and prepare ministers in the church”.Even if  it seems to you at the time that you would never be able to realize those dreams,  write them down anyway. Write them down regardless of whether they look realistic to you or not! Remember, that our God is the God of impossible things, He is not limited by our weaknesses and human capabilities, He works despite all  of those things. God will fulfil the dreams that He has placed in your heart. Even though, we are imperfect people who receive visions from God in imperfect way, we still have to write the visions down, otherwise God will not have that with which He can work in our life.Tomorrow I will share my personal experience on this topic.God bless you all!Rufus AJiboye, pastor

Going through the most difficult ordeal in His life, when Jesus heart was internally struggling whether to accept or to reject God´s will, He proved with His own example that we have to always choose God´s will even if it requires us to go through pain and sufferings.«My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.» (Matthew 26:39).« … Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.» (Luke 22:42)
  • How to set grace free in our lives? II

The law of sowing and reaping governs how favour works. It is necessary to look at favour as a seed that must be sown. Jesus said that, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Matthew 5:7).In other words, Jesus is saying, “Blessed are those who have sown favour or mercy, because they will reap favour or mercy”.Generally, the level of favour operating in your life depends on the level of the seed of favour you sow into other people’s lives. This means that I cannot expect the harvest of favour in my life until I have not sown mercy into other people’s lives.
  • Purpose for living V

After Solomon forsook God for a season, he tried to find happiness and satisfaction in different things and activities. We see that Solomon made several attempts which all lead to disappointment. For a wise person Solomon’s experience can become good lesson in what the wrong ways to happiness are. We mentioned that Solomon sought happiness in education and knowledge, in fun and pleasures, in beauty, in works of men’s hands. Afterwards he came to a conclusion that despite the fact that all these things are important and necessary for living, none of them can make us happy, if God is excluded from our life. Solomon said that everything under the sun is vanity and grasping for the wind. Solomon’s conclusion was that everything that happens under the sun is vanity and grasping for the wind – if apart from God.
  • How to enter your ministry?

If a person doesn’t have any desire to serve, it is very difficult to motivate him. This desire has to be strong enough to move you to action; otherwise you won’t do anything. It is easy to teach and lead a person that has a desire and an interest in something. And it is very difficult to convince and motivate the one who is indifferent. Where does the desire to serve come from? This desire comes from the understanding of God’s will and the purpose of our salvation.
  • What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time? II

Problems try and purify our faith.Quite often the Bible compares sufferings with the furnace used for the purification of metal that burns up all the dross. “In this your greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter, 1:6-7).
  • God helps us to develop compassion towards other people through the ministry as well

It is true that ministry transforms us into the likeness of God. Since God is graceful and compassionate in His essence, then we His children should be able to show to others the grace and compassion of our Heavenly Father and we do that by serving other people. Earlier on, we already mentioned that God’s desire is to transform us into the image and the likeness of Christ so that we can begin to reflect the quality of character that Jesus had. It was Christ who came to reveal God to us so that we can follow in His steps. We know that changes automatically do not occur; changes or transformation happen only as we implement the laws and principles of God into our life. Ministry is one tremendous way we can do that; it is one of the many tools, God uses to mold and transform us into likeness of Christ.
