God gives to everyone according to his or her ability II

I am so happy to be with you today, dear readers of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! Today I would like to continue talking about talents and abilities that are given by God to every person on this earth. You have a talent that matches your ability to handle it, and God desires for you to multiply it. It will affect your future. What you have from God today will determine your place in eternity. Your eternal reward will depend on what you have been doing with your talents. You can either bury your talents or multiply them. You can return to God your talent that He gave you, and say to Him that you did not succeed. You can simply complain about your life and not even try changing or accomplish something in your life.Or you can invest your talent and expand His kingdom with it; everything depends on you.
«After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them» (Mathew, 25:19).
Some institutions require annual, monthly or weekly accounts. It is good because accountability helps keep things in order. Taxing authorities require monthly reports, and that forces us to keep our books in order. Possibly, if there hadn’t been such requirements, most people would have their finances in a mess. Reports and the awareness of the fact that you will have to give an account help a person ‘to stay in shape’. The truth is that you will have to give an account for the talents and gifts God has given you.The parable we have been exploring shows us that after giving out the talents, the Master was away for a long time. And at that time there were people who thought that in the Master’s absence they could do anything they wanted to. But it is important to remember that there comes a day for every one of us when we will have to give an account for what we have done with our talents and gifts. What have you been doing with your life? How do you spend your time? What do you do with your property? What have you been doing with the talents and mental faculties that God has entrusted to you? How have you been participating in the building of the Kingdom of God? Have you been investing yourself and your possessions into the building of God’s Kingdom? What have you been doing with yourself?Time will reveal who is doing what, what you have been doing, and how you’ve been living. It is very important, but it is also scary. It makes us think about what we are really doing in this life. Those who invest themselves into God’s Kingdom have nothing to worry about or fear. It is one of the reasons why we continually ask and call people to serve the Lord in our churches. Serve the Lord! Do something to build the Kingdom of God! I would really like for each person in this church to multiply the talents God has given him or her.
«So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, „Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.” His lord said to him, „Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord» (Mathew, 25:20-21).
I would be really happy if every person in our church could hear from God: “Well done, good and faithful servant!”Every one of us is a carrier of God’s gifts, and it is our choice whether we multiply them or bury them.May God help you to multiply God-given talents by the Spirit of God and use them for God’s Kingdom!Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Without the Holy Spirit we are not able to manifest God in our lives

    1) Jesus gave some commandments to the Apostles BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (verse 2).Jesus Himself relied on the Holy Spirit in everything He did during His days in flesh. When He took on flesh, He was limited by it and He needed the Holy Spirit. As people we live in flesh and we also are limited by it. The only way for us to overcome these limitations is to rely on the Holy Spirit. We must be aware of the necessity and our dependency on the Holy Spirit. We must seek Him daily.
  • Presence of God V

God so desires for us to seek Him early in the morning. He so desires for us to return to Him. He wants to heal us and to bind up our wounds. God so wants to revive and restore us, so that we could live before Him. When we seek the Lord, when we seek to know Him, He comes and immerses us into His presence; He pours out His rain on us and waters the earth.Yesterday we talked about how Moses set up a tabernacle outside the camp for all seekers of the Lord. We also saw that instead of entering the tabernacle and seeking the face of the Lord, Israelites were simply observing how Moses spoke to God and how God answered Moses.
  • The importance of our faithfulness to God II

God counts on our involvement and participation just as He counted on Moses’ victory over Pharaoh. Moses was faithful in the house of God, and for this reason Pharaoh could not stop the process of the deliverance and the salvation of God’s people despite his power, his strength and his huge army.Jesus Christ was faithful to His mission and for this reason in Him all people in this world have an opportunity to receive redemption, salvation and deliverance.
  • Faith without love is not biblical faith!

If you have faith, but do not have love, then, according to Paul, you are “sounding brass and a clanging cymbal” and you are “nothing”. Faith without love does not work. That is why it is so important to learn to walk in love. Otherwise our hearts won’t be able to go through the last day attacks. Faith will not work without love! What are you going to do when people will hate, persecute and hurt you? Will you get offended and look for the ways to pay them back and do evil? That is the reaction of flesh; that is the reaction of a natural man.
  • In order for us to do the works of Jesus, we must ask for it in prayer!

«Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son» (John, 14:12-13).When Jesus Himself says ‘most assuredly’, it means He wants us to pay attention. These two verses are connected. Jesus says that we can do the works that Jesus did and even more, if we pray. Jesus tried to tell His disciples that He has been given all authority in heaven and on earth and that He will represent them in heaven, because He will be sitting with Him on the heavenly throne. Jesus told His disciples that they should ask in His name and that He would do what they ask so that His Father would be glorified.
