How to enter your ministry

Greetings to you, dear friends! This is the day that the Lord has made for us to rejoice and celebrate before Him! God’s mercy has been renewed for every one of us this morning. God continues to pour out on us His mercies and kindness! The Word of God is a tremendous blessing for all of us. Through it God edifies us and our faith.

Yesterday we started discussing how we can enter our ministry. We established that, first; we need a strong desire to serve. This desire is tied to our understanding of God’s will and the purpose of our salvation. As we talked about, ministry helps us to reveal our potential. Ministry helps us to find out about ourselves, our calling in the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth and doing the works that are pleasing to God. God has predestined for us to do particular good works. God desires for us to be fruitful and glorify Him on earth. Through our ministry God wants to fill this earth with the knowledge of Him and His Kingdom. He wants us to establish His principles in every sphere of life and win people for Him by the ministry we do on earth.

What else do you need to enter your ministry? You must find out what you can serve with? You can only use what you have.

«Then Peter said, „Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk» (Acts, 3: 6).

A miracle in your life starts when you give to God what you have at the moment.

“So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil”.” (2 Kings, 4:2).

It is important to realize what you have:

  • Education

  • Experience, even the negative and the painful

  • Talents

  • Spiritual gifts

  • Skills and abilities

It says in the Bible that every one of us should serve by the gift that we have received from God. “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is give to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness” (Romans, 12: 6-8).

«As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God» (1 Peter, 4: 10).

God promises to bless everyone who will serve Him and the people with his or her gifts and talents. Ministry will help you to expand your borders and show you new horizons.

We will continue tomorrow! I wish abundant God’s blessings!

  • The seed contains tremendous potential II

I want you to notice that it is required of us to accept the Word if we want it to bear fruit. People with stony hearts also accept the Word, but there is a difference between them and those whose heart is identified as being good ground. People with stone hearts receive the Word on the emotional level, on the surface; besides, they are not consistent, and as a result the Word cannot take root in their hearts.«…and they have no root in themselves…» (Мark 4:17)
  • How do we make sure that the Word of God abides in us?

Why are there so much fear, panic, disappointment, weariness and tiredness in the lives of many believers? It is because the Word of God does not abide in them. God wants us to be filled with the Word. When we read the word of God with the understanding that we need the word daily as our source of light and direction, then we are motivated to do read it even more. Since I want to be spiritually strong and able to overcome the wicked one, I want to have the understanding of God’s purpose for my life, I want His direction as to how to carry out my assignment and I want to walk in purity in my life – and for this very reason I read God’s Word and study it on a regular basis.
  • The Church of Jesus Christ is a place of accountability!

We walk not just before God, but also before one another. When we are willing to do the things the Bible tells us to it allows us to change and grow spiritually. We established that churches are usually divided into small groups (or home groups) so that people can care for one another more effectively. In order to receive the things we need to lead a healthy spiritual life it is important to be ‘an open book’. Then other people are able to watch and study you. If you are ‘closed up’ for other people, then you won’t receive the help you need through the home group meetings.
  • If you want to walk in the favour of God – be a grateful person!

Lack of gratitude stops the flow of favour in the life of a person. You cannot be tired of blessing a grateful person. David was a grateful man. He was grateful to God and called others to thank God with him.«Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together» (Psalm, 34: 3).
  • God’s purpose for the earth and the role of people in it III

Today many people mostly emphasize different manifestations, anointing, gifts, talents and personal development. All of these things are important. But if we neglect the development of God’s character in us and do not make it a priority, if we forget to draw near to God and fellowship with Him, then we are doing not the will of God, but instead carrying out our own will. And as a result we are not able to bring glory to God.
  • God looks at what we do with what we already know

We are talking about the importance of knowing and doing God’s will. Yesterday we talked about the fact that God reveals His plans and intentions to us gradually as we reach particular levels of maturity and grow in our ability to accept what He has prepared for us. We also established that God reveals His will to those who are close to Him, seek His will and are willing to do His will. God looks at what we do with what we already know, and only then He will reveal the next part of His plan for our lives.
