How do we serve God?

Hello Friends! Thank God for another wonderful and new day that the Lord has made. Let us do our best to make this day as effective and qualitative as we can. Let us do our best to spend this day to the benefit of God’s Kingdom, to our own benefit and to the benefit of others. May the goodness and the mercies of God accompany you through out this day in Jesus Name. We will continue our discussion on serving God. The word I want to share with you today is in a question form and we will try to answer that question together. Here is the question: How do we serve God? We serve God by serving other people in His Name. To serve God actually means to serve other people in the Name of God or as the representative of God on the earth. It is to do good to others by meeting their spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical or material needs as an act of our love for God. Please understand that your love for God will have a reflection your relationship with others. In the same way, your neglect of God reflects on how you relate to your neighbour.
“If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? 7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? 8 Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man” (Job 35: 6-8).
The above scriptures accurately illustrate that in the long run, it is people around us that will either benefit or suffer because of our relationship with God or its absence. All that we think we are giving to God actually benefits people like us on the earth. Our ministry or service to God is to be taken as a service to people created in the image of God.Jesus said in Matthew 25:40
“… Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”.
What we do to others, Jesus received as if we have done it to Him. One time Jesus asked Peter if he loves Him. After receiving a confirmation from Peter that he loves Jesus, the Lord said: “if you love me, then feed my sheep” (John 21:16). This is saying to us that if we really love God and are serving him, that should move us to serve another others in His name.
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister”.(Hebrews 6:10).
God keeps a record of all that we do for others in His name. He accepts our acts of love in relation to people, as an expression of our love to Him. We show our Love towards God by ministering to the saints.  As you go about your daily activities today, remember to minister to The Lord both in words and in deed, by doing just that to the people around you. That is how you serve the Lord.
Here on earth mere men receive your service and your gifts, but in Heaven, the Lord Jesus receives all of these things (Hebrews 7: 8). So do all things you do from the heart as unto the Lord, for He is the one who will reward you (Colossian 3:17; 23-24).
God’s word for you today is this: Do not forget that you serve God by serving the people He has put in your life or the people He leads you to on a daily basis. Remember, you cannot say you love God whom you have not seen unless you first love your brothers and sisters whom you have seen. Remain blessed! We need to understand the reason of life and how we can live our life strategically. There few points about life that we have to understand, in order to live strategically. This is true because the way you perceive your life will influence the system of your values.Today many people perceive their life in a wrong way, therefore they are living their life the wrong way, seeking wrong things, besides they are deceived for the very same reason.
  • But he who endures to the end shall be saved!

The question arises why so many people start their walk with God but turn aside in one of the crossroads of life; they turn back to where they came from. It reminds me the story of Jewish people. For a long time this nation was in slavery in Egypt. They were burdened by hard work with no payment. The nation of Israel cried out to God, and God delivered them and brought them out of Egypt. They had to walk to the Promised Land. Every day they were getting closer to it. There were difficulties on their way; they had to flee some wrong things, avoid making wrong decisions, wrong relationships; they had to overcome grumbling and complaining. Israelites had to obtain more and more knowledge of God while heading towards their Promised Land.
  • Your surrounding has an impact on you, it determines whether you enter the destiny God has prepared for you or you don´t III

There are many things that make people joyful and that´s great. However, Jesus pointed out that His disciples joy should rather be based on the goals and values of the Kingdom of God. Being glad about passing things is not the true joy, yet. The true joy comes when you can connect all the events of your life with fulfilling of the eternal purpose, one you are even ready to suffer for.
  • The importance of our submission to God so that our authority given to us by Him could be effective

Jesus humbled Himself and was obedient unto death. And for this very reason God exalted Him and gave Him the name above every other name. Jesus having taken a form of a man demonstrated us how we should behave. Jesus Christ came to the earth to help us see how we can exercise and display the authority of God in our lives in order to fulfil the calling and mission that God has given to every person.
  • How can we experience God in our life?

Studying the Bible we see God doing great feats through many people. He was able to realise His intentions using those people just due to their revelation and understanding of God´s key principles. While living in the different times, educated on a different level, belonged to the different cultures all Bible heroes basically have something in common. The secret of the success and feats they had is obvious – they knew God and interacted with Him. They experienced God´s power and His mercy in their lives. How did they succeeded? It became possible because they dedicated themselves to God. That´s exactly what God is inviting us to do.
  • We have to strengthen our spirit

The Bible states «A man’s spirit will sustain him in sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?» (Proverbs 18:14). Satan wants to hit our spirit via hardships, trials and problems. When your spirit is strengthened, you can overcome any kind of weakness, get through all kind of hardships and trials. So how can we strengthen our spirit? God´s word and His promises strengthen our spirit and overcome weakness and sufferings. In order to not give up, we need to learn how to lean on the word of God and His promises – fully and unconditionally. We have to learn God´s faithfulness and realise that God will never forsake us unless we abandon Him ourselves.
