How do we serve God?

Hello Friends! Thank God for another wonderful and new day that the Lord has made. Let us do our best to make this day as effective and qualitative as we can. Let us do our best to spend this day to the benefit of God’s Kingdom, to our own benefit and to the benefit of others. May the goodness and the mercies of God accompany you throughout this day in Jesus’ Name. We will continue our discussion on serving God. The word I want to share with you today is in a question form and we will try to answer that question together. Here is the question: How do we serve God? We serve God by serving other people in His Name. To serve God actually means to serve other people in the Name of God or as the representative of God on the earth. It is to do good to others by meeting their spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical or material needs as an act of our love for God. Please understand that your love for God will have a reflection in your relationship with others. In the same way, your neglect of God reflects on how you relate to your neighbour.
“If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? 7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? 8 Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man” (Job 35: 6-8).
The above scriptures accurately illustrate that in the long run, it is people around us that will either benefit or suffer because of our relationship with God or its absence. All that we think we are giving to God actually benefits people like us on the earth. Our ministry or service to God is to be taken as a service to people created in the image of God.Jesus said in Matthew 25:40
“… Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”.
What we do to others, Jesus receives as if we have done it to Him. One time Jesus asked Peter if he loves Him. After receiving a confirmation from Peter that he loves Jesus, the Lord said: “if you love me, then feed my sheep” (John 21:16). This is saying to us that if we really love God and are serving Him, that should move us to serve others in His Name.
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister”.(Hebrews 6:10).
God keeps a record of all that we do for others in His name. He accepts our acts of love in relation to people, as an expression of our love to Him. We show our love towards God by ministering to the saints.  As you go about your daily activities today, remember to minister to the Lord both in words and in deed, by doing just that to the people around you. That is how you serve the Lord.
Here on earth mere men receive your service and your gifts, but in Heaven, the Lord Jesus receives all of these things (Hebrews 7: 8). So do all things you do from the heart as unto the Lord, for He is the one who will reward you (Colossian 3:17; 23-24).
God’s word for you today is this: Do not forget that you serve God by serving the people He has put in your life or the people He leads you to on a daily basis. Remember, you cannot say you love God whom you have not seen unless you first love your brothers and sisters whom you have seen. Remain blessed! • God calls each of us to do good works in Jesus Name

To do good work means doing what you can do. God never asks you to do something above your abilities. When God asks you to do something, He definitely gives you a supernatural power and capabilities. Do not think of what you cannot accomplish, better do what you can manage then God will lead you into your promised land. Wherever you are, use every opportunity to do what you can do, so you learn doing good works for Jesus then.
  • Lust brings sin, and sin brings death

«Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.» (James 1:13-17).
  • We have to strengthen our spirit

The Bible states «A man’s spirit will sustain him in sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?» (Proverbs 18:14). Satan wants to hit our spirit via hardships, trials and problems. When your spirit is strengthened, you can overcome any kind of weakness, get through all kind of hardships and trials. So how can we strengthen our spirit? God´s word and His promises strengthen our spirit and overcome weakness and sufferings. In order to not give up, we need to learn how to lean on the word of God and His promises – fully and unconditionally. We have to learn God´s faithfulness and realise that God will never forsake us unless we abandon Him ourselves.
  • Love is a weapon of victory of the last time III

The principle of love protects our hearts, emotions and our life from injuries and bruises. Hatred, evil, betrayal, cruelty and lack of understanding among people will multiply at the last days. Jesus never sinned, while people back-bit Him anyway. But, how Jesus reacted to that back-biting? He never replied with back-biting, never tried to overcome evil with evil. He knew it would not work this way, quite opposite it would have increased the amount of evil, pain, emotional injuries and hatred in the life of a person who tries to overcome evil with evil.
  • Changes through Ministry II

« He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love ». (1st John 4:8).If God is love it’s vitally important to know and understand how Love behaves.« For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life ». (John 3:16).
  • How to set grace free in our lives? II

The law of sowing and reaping governs how favour works. It is necessary to look at favour as a seed that must be sown. Jesus said that, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Matthew 5:7).In other words, Jesus is saying, “Blessed are those who have sown favour or mercy, because they will reap favour or mercy”.Generally, the level of favour operating in your life depends on the level of the seed of favour you sow into other people’s lives. This means that I cannot expect the harvest of favour in my life until I have not sown mercy into other people’s lives.
