What matters is which we believe more – what we say or what God says!

Greetings, dear readers of our column “Daily Word for Spiritual Strength”! By God’s mighty grace, we have been given the opportunity to feed our hearts daily on the living Word of God. God is light, and in Him there is no darkness! The light of God’s Word illuminates us and makes us wiser.

All this time we have been talking about how many voices try to rule over our lives – the voice of our common sense, the voices of our feelings, of public opinion, of experts, and so on. But we have found that only God’s Word and His voice bring us into the true life of abundance and lead us into God’s plans and will. And the Bible says that God’s will and plans for us are good.

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)

But the question is still relevant – what do we say, and what do we believe?

Often, while reading the Bible, we hear ourselves better than we hear God. This is because there are words that we say, and there is the Word that He says. What matters is which we believe more – what we say or what God says. Let us look at some expressions that we often use, and let us see what God says about the same things in His Word.

*YOU SAY, “It is not possible!”

*GOD SAYS, “All things are possible with God!”

*Bible verse: Luke 18:27

“Jesus replied, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”

* YOU SAY, “I am so tired!”

* GOD SAYS, “I will give you rest!”

* Bible verse: Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

* YOU SAY, “No one really loves me.”

* GOD SAYS, “I love you!”

* Bible verses: John 3:16, John 3:34.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
“For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.”

* YOU SAY, “I cannot go on any longer.”

* GOD SAYS, “My grace is sufficient for you.”

* Bible verses: 2 Corinthians 12:9; Psalms 92:13-14

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
“Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.”

* YOU SAY, “I do not understand what is going on.”

* GOD SAYS, “I will guide your steps.”

* Bible verse: Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

* YOU SAY, “I cannot do it.”

* GOD SAYS, “You can do all things through Jesus Christ, who strengthens you!”

* Bible verse: Philippians 4:13

“I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

* YOU SAY, “It is not worth it.”

* GOD SAYS, “It is worth it, because all things work together for good for those who love the Lord.”

* Bible verse: Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

* YOU SAY, “I cannot forgive myself.”

* GOD SAYS, “I forgive you!”

* Bible verses: 1 John 1:9; Romans 8:1

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

* YOU SAY, “I am not able.”

* GOD SAYS, “I am able!”

* Bible verse: 2 Corinthians 9:8

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

* YOU SAY, “I cannot make ends meet.”

* GOD SAYS, “I will meet all your needs!”

* Bible verse: Philippians 4:19

“And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

* YOU SAY, “I am afraid.”

* GOD SAYS, “I have not given you a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”

* Bible verse: 2 Timothy 1:7

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”

* YOU SAY, “I am always worried and confused.”

* GOD SAYS, “Cast all your anxiety on Me.”

* Bible verse: 1 Peter 5:7

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

* YOU SAY, “I am not smart enough.”

* GOD SAYS, “I will give you wisdom.”

* Bible verse: 1 Corinthians 1:30

“It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”

* YOU SAY, “I feel totally alone.”

* GOD SAYS, “I will never leave you; I will never forsake you.”

* Bible verse: Hebrews 13:5

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.””

You know, let us start speaking and thinking the way God speaks and thinks, and then we can enjoy the abundant life that God has prepared for us.

May God bless you abundantly today and in all the days to come! He is good all the time!

    I thank God for this day and believe that this day will be filled with the blessings from the Lord. Today I’d like to continue on the topic I talked about yesterday – the importance of unity. We saw that when you have a strong team every house will be built and every project will be completed. That kind of team will always achieve victory. In the Bible we see that Jesus also talked about the importance of unity.

  • When you live in obedience to His Word, God protects you from sorrows and tragedies that fill this world nowadays

    Today I would like to point out a very important truth: if you are obedient to God in your actions and in your life in general, then the very same thing that destroys others will lift you up. In the Scripture above we can see that the same waters, which destroyed the world by flooding it, raised Noah’s ark that he had built according to the Word of God. The very same waters destroyed some people and lifted up somebody else – Noah. To the faithful Noah, flood waters brought salvation.

  • When you do not see a way out and when everything looks hopeless and bleak, – worship God!

    “Then she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!» (Mathew, 15:25). Many people have a hard time even saying the words „help me”. Many people have a hard time acknowledging that they actually need help. They do not want to admit they are helpless in certain situations and call out for help. Help does not come to those that do not ask for it. Only a humble, broken person is able to ask for help. This woman had a broken heart; for this reason she was able to worship Jesus and ask Him for help. May our hearts be humble before God, so that we can worship God and ask for His help. When you need help, you must humble your heart before God.

  • What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time? IV

    In order for us to learn react to problems and pain in a correct manner we need a revelation about the fact that while we live in this world there will be no end to pain and hardships. For as long as sin exists on the earth pain won’t cease in people’s lives. We suffer not only due to our own sins and wrong decisions, but also due to the sins and wrong decisions of other people.Joshua and Caleb, as well as the whole generation of Israel that finally entered the Promised Land were forced to wander through the wilderness for almost 40 years. Why? We know that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit and they believed God and walked in obedience. Nevertheless, due to the wrong decisions made by other people they had to suffer and wander in the wilderness for all that time.

    In order for us to learn react to problems and pain in a correct manner we need a revelation about the fact that...

  • Our life is a product of what we see III

    God wants us to cooperate with Him. His future and our future is a great, bright one. But we have to cooperate with Him to make sure this imagined future becomes a reality in our lives.It might be that today you look small in your own eyes, but God wants to give you a great future. And He does not keep us in ignorance about the prospects for the future, and for this very reason He gave us the Holy Spirit. One of the things that the Holy Spirit does is revealing the future God has prepared for us.

  • Do you know that you are not all you could be yet?

    “And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him”In the above passage, Jesus saw two brothers trying to catch fish by the sea side and immediately recognized that they have a better destiny, so He instructed them to follow Him. This word of God to you today is this: Follow me and I will make you.Do you know that you are not all you could be yet? Only the Lord knows who you are created to be and He wants to make you become who you are really created to be. That is why He said “I will make you”.
