When did God last speak to you?

Greetings, dear friends, on this wonderful day! Every day God makes all things new, and His mercy is renewed every morning! We are continuing to talk about how important it is to be led by God’s Word and God’s voice.

In what ways does God speak to us? God has a variety of ways in which He talks to us. Most often, God speaks to us through His Word (the Bible). For some people it is easier to believe an angel who has come down from heaven than what is written in the Bible. God in His Word is much closer to us than an angel, yet we think little of the Word written in the Scriptures. God speaks to us through His Word. The Bible is a living book; it is God’s own Word, a Word that speaks. If we want to enjoy eternal life every day, then let the Word of God speak to you every day. Do not read the Bible as history, stories, or fiction that has nothing to do with your life today. Do not read the Bible as a word God spoke only to the Jews, but receive it as the Word God speaks personally to you today. And believe that God can speak to you from the pages of the Bible every day. God wants to lead you along the path on which you should walk. God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God; these are the two main ways in which God speaks. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God work together. The Holy Spirit is the author of the Word, and when we read the Bible, He enlightens us and gives us an inner witness. Usually this happens when we read the Word of God. But that is not the only time the Holy Spirit can speak to you. He can speak to you even when you are not praying or reading the Bible. If you have a close relationship with God, you will know His voice! When you pray, especially if you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and pray in tongues, your spirit is in fellowship with God, and there is an exchange between you and God. Therefore, even when you are not praying, what has been received into your spirit begins to express itself.

„No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” – but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:7-10)

God’s wisdom is intended to bring us glory. Jesus says that His Word is life, and life with Jesus is full of glory. Where does this life, full of God’s glory, come from? When we hear God’s wisdom and follow it, God gives us His glory. Those who dishonour God’s wisdom are headed toward shame.

So ask yourself: When did God last speak to you? When was the last time you heard God’s voice?

As you read the Word of God, you hear God’s voice, and the Holy Spirit speaks to you. God has a plan for us. If we live in this plan, we have life in abundance. But if we are not in God’s plan, we cannot enjoy this life. Outside of God’s plan there is no real life. We want to live in God’s plan, but God must reveal this plan to people through the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, you must love the Word of God and dwell in it every day, to draw strength and learn what God’s plan is for your life.

We will continue tomorrow!

With the love of God!
