On what does your destiny depend?

My greetings to the readers of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!Today I would like to share a word with you about On what does the course of your life depend? or On what does your destiny depend?? We will talk about whether it is the circumstances of your life or the condition of your heart that determine the course of your life.We mostly think that our destiny is determined by other people or how they act toward us. Or we think that destiny depends on the circumstances that surround us or things that happen around us. But it is not true, and God does not think that way! God knows that the circumstances in your life won’t define your life. What people do or do not do to you cannot determine your life. Your destiny is defined by where your heart is. Thus, God tells us that we have to guard our hearts with all diligence.
«My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life» (Proverbs, 4:20-23).
Guard your heart with all diligence! Why is it so important? Because life flows out of the heart. That is the reason why it is so important to keep the right things in our hearts. If we keep the Word of God in our hearts – and the Word contains the very life of God, – then the life of God will flow out of our hearts like streams of water. Even if get into unfavourable situations, the life of God will flow out of our hearts and change all the circumstances. It happens because the life that fills our hearts will press out all deadly and unfavourable situations that surround us. When people treat you badly, creating hindrances or humiliating you, it does not affect you if the Word of God fills your heart; this very Word will help you to walk in victory no matter what people intend to do against you or what circumstances you find yourself in. When unpleasant things happen in our lives we do not need to look for someone or something to blame – husband, wife, government, church, boss, weather, God, devil etc. We need to analyze the condition of our hearts. Instead of looking for someone to blame for the wrong things happening with us, let us check what flows out of our hearts and how we response to things. It is very important! When we are accountable we are willing to admit whether we are growing or not. We are able to give account of what we are learning in order to receive support, encouragement or correction.

    If we are aware of the authority of Jesus, if we identify ourselves with His rule and submit our lives to it, then we can walk in the name of Jesus and crush under our feet all those things that do not fit the will of God and come up against it.     Begin using the little things you have and be faithful and consistent in it; then you will be surprised to see what can grow out of it. The seed of greatness is in every person right now. But this seed will grow and bring harvest only if you will plant it and use it according to its original purpose.«A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time» (Isaiah, 60:22).

  • Qualities that make us the salt of the earth and light of the world

    1) Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Mathew, 5:3). This talks about dependency on God. Our lives depend on God. And since we realize our dependency, we must continually come to God and spend time with Him. This is a foundational step in becoming the salt of the earth and the light of the world; we must live a life that is totally depended on God!2) Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Mathew, 5:4). Sin, unrighteousness and injustice that surround us must motivate us to pray and mourn before God, to stand in the gap for our land. It must motivate us to repent of the sins and unrighteousness of our nation. When we look at the things around us with God’s eyes, then everything that grieves God will grieve us as well. This is where passion is born and a vision for change is conceived.

  • Your attitude influences your progress

    The judgements, the beliefs, and the convictions of a person influence his attitude and this attitude has an effect on the progress we make.The man in the parable did not multiply his talent because he had the wrong attitude. This man believed lies rather than the truth. That is the lies which many people believe, which become an obstacle to their progress and development. The lies can go something like, “no one loves me”, then any attempt from people to show love towards you, will be rejected. A person believing in lies from the enemy will not be able to accept blessings, help, and advice from others, as all this would be misinterpreted.
