On what does your destiny depend?

My greetings to the readers of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!Today I would like to share a word with you about On what does the course of your life depend? or On what does your destiny depend?? We will talk about whether it is the circumstances of your life or the condition of your heart that determine the course of your life.We mostly think that our destiny is determined by other people or how they act toward us. Or we think that destiny depends on the circumstances that surround us or things that happen around us. But it is not true, and God does not think that way! God knows that the circumstances in your life won’t define your life. What people do or do not do to you cannot determine your life. Your destiny is defined by where your heart is. Thus, God tells us that we have to guard our hearts with all diligence.
«My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life» (Proverbs, 4:20-23).
Guard your heart with all diligence! Why is it so important? Because life flows out of the heart. That is the reason why it is so important to keep the right things in our hearts. If we keep the Word of God in our hearts – and the Word contains the very life of God, – then the life of God will flow out of our hearts like streams of water. Even if get into unfavourable situations, the life of God will flow out of our hearts and change all the circumstances. It happens because the life that fills our hearts will press out all deadly and unfavourable situations that surround us. When people treat you badly, creating hindrances or humiliating you, it does not affect you if the Word of God fills your heart; this very Word will help you to walk in victory no matter what people intend to do against you or what circumstances you find yourself in. When unpleasant things happen in our lives we do not need to look for someone or something to blame – husband, wife, government, church, boss, weather, God, devil etc. We need to analyze the condition of our hearts. Instead of looking for someone to blame for the wrong things happening with us, let us check what flows out of our hearts and how we response to things. It is very important! Now it happened as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, „Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard that, He said to them, „Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance» (Mathew, 9:9-13).

    «Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.» (James 1:13-17).

  • God has left us two most important commandments – to love God and to love our neighbour as ourselves.!

    Walking in love is the determining factor of how happy we will be on this earth. Any one of us can become a happy person, who is satisfied with life, if only we will live in accordance to the law of love. In other words, my attitude towards God and the people around me determines whether I will be happy or not. If you want to be happy, then my advice to you is to love God and your neighbour without deceit!

  • There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants!

    What type of a believer are you? What are you: an observer, a user or a servant? Today we will attempt to establish what distinguishes observers and consumers from servants.Observes do not care for what goes on around them; they demonstrate indifference. What happens in church does not concern him; he thinks that he only needs to attend Sunday services. He is there for the worship and the sermon and it is enough for him. Such a believer has no problems; he is doing fine at work and at home. He simply observes the events around him and he is happy.

  • Changes always come from praying!

    We talked about Hannah who did not give up even though she was barren and was being humiliated by other people; she kept on believing God and trusting that He would send her a miracle into her life and give her a baby. She did not plunge into despair and sense of helplessness, but daily brought her needs before God in fervent prayer.
