The philosophy of change

Greetings to you, dear friends! I welcome you to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! May God’s grace follow you through this day! I thank God for the opportunity to share with you the word of revelation God has placed in my heart. Today I would like to speak to you about the philosophy of change.It is quite often that we oppose changes; we resist any changes because we are creatures of habit. If something is new and unusual for us, we don’t like it. Is that the truth? Whatever is unusual to us scares us. We love the comforts of life and if something upsets our comfortable position, we start to fight it with all of our strength.Nevertheless God calls every person to go through changes. Most of the time God calls us to change our ways, to think and act differently; when that happens, our very beings screams and fights it. We oppose changes, because we do not understand that Christian living and becoming the disciple of Jesus Christ is impossible without changes. Life of a Christian – from the beginning and till the end – is the way of changes and growth. So we must be open for changes and allow God to transform us.My desire is that every person who reads these daily messages would give the people around them reason to be pleasantly surprised seeing the positive changes the Lord is making in his or her life. God is able to change our lives fundamentally and thoroughly. Do you believe it to be possible?The truth is that we need to be changed because we are not perfect. Is there anyone among you who believes to have reached the state of perfection and is in no need of any further changes? I don’t think any honest person that has common sense can say that about himself. We can agree with the wonderful words of Apostle Paul that are written in the Epistle to Philippians: 
«Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you» (Philippians, 3: 12-15).
 None of us have attained perfection. Every one of us still need to change in our personal lives in order to grow worthy of “the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.The only One who does not change is the Lord God. He needs no changes, because He is the measure of perfection. God is perfect. His thoughts and principles do not change; His feelings are always the same. Those things that concern God do not change. So in order to become like God we need to change.God desires for us to be transformed and changed into the image of Jesus Christ. That is the only way for us to be truly happy in this life. God knows that we are not able to change ourselves; so He is gradually working in us and changing us as we cooperate with Him. God has many ways to change us. That is what I call God’s philosophy of change.Here I want to point out that God is more interested in our character than in our comfortable life. I know that such a statement bothers and confuses many people. But we have to face this truth. I would like to repeat that God is more interested in our character than in our comfort. From the very beginning of the Christian walk and till the very end of it – changes are one unavoidable component of our lives. God calls us to welcome changes! The goal of these changes is the transformation of our character.If you are not ready to change and resist any possible alterations then you are not ready to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.     After Jesus left the earth and ascended to heaven, He commissioned us to be His ambassadors or the sent ones (His representatives) on the earth. So we must understand and receive a profound revelation concerning the spiritual authority and power that we have in Christ. The Bible says that Christ made us kings and priests in order that we can reign on earth for Him. It is God, our heavenly Father desires that we all to be busy about His business. His business is to reconcile people with Him. God desires to do the work of reconciliation through us – «we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God». He wants us to declare the word of reconciliation. « God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation » (2 Corinthians, 5:19).

    God did so much for Joseph. He saved his life when his brothers wanted to kill him. God showed him favor when he was sold into slavery. God abundantly blessed the work of his hands that his master placed him over his whole property. Joseph never forgot these blessings from the Lord. The realizations of God’s mercy filled Joseph’s heart with gratitude toward God and his master.

    We see that Jesus experienced serious difficulties in the days of His earthly life, but He did not focus on them. Jesus was busy serving the Father and those He was sent to serve. While Jesus served people, the Father made sure people ministered to Jesus; God met Jesus’ needs through His ministry.When we serve others, God motivates others to serve us. We always reap what we have sown. We do not serve people because we do not have any problems, – we serve people because it pleases God. And when we serve, despite the fact that we have problems, needs and concerns, God makes sure some people that we do not even know serve us by meeting our needs

    The way that Jesus will lead us on won’t always be smooth and easy. The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself endured the hostility, the cross and the shame. It means that Jesus will also lead us through the valleys of death and tears; this way is not pleasant and desired, but it is good for us, because God only knows what we need. The disciples followed Jesus not only when He spoke pleasantries, but also when He rebuked or corrected them. They followed Him even when they did not understand the true meaning of His words. The simply trusted His wisdom.
