You can prosper under any circumstances all it takes is for you to pay the price for God to be with you

Dear friends, I want us to continue examine the life of Joseph. The lesson from his life that we will be focusing on today is this: You can prosper under any circumstances all it takes is for you to pay the price for God to be with you. No matter what you do, no matter what your status in life and no matter what your circumstances, if you can have access to the presence of God, you will succeed. Joseph was in slavery, sold to a foreign land by his own blood brothers, but that could not stop his prosperity. What really determine our success or prosperity in life is the presence of God with us. The way might not be easy. The journey might be longer than we think, but if God is with us the way will be decked with the goodness and the favour of God. In all his afflictions, Joseph was able to pay the price to access the presence of God. What was it that Joseph did? He held unto his integrity, he demonstrated his love for God through consistence obedience to God and he followed the ways of God in the land of his affliction.
“And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. 2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand” (Genesis 39:1-4)
Genesis 39: 20-22 God presence was all that Joseph needed. This little boy of 17 years old was stripped of basically everything in life; his mother died, his mother and relatives were far away, he was living in a foreign country with people of different culture speaking a foreign language unknown to him. With all these circumstances in his life, Joseph had no chance at all to make it. It seems life itself is against him. But alas, when God is with someone, he has no lack at all. The person with whom God is has all it takes to be successful and to become whom he has been destined by God to be. Study the lives of all the people with whom it was said “and God was with him” and you will notice that despite all the terrible and dangerous situations they found themselves in, they all became a shinned like bright stars in their generation. Dear reader, may be you have been rejected by friends, may be you have been rejected by love ones, may be your mother and mother have forsaken you, may be your husband has just left you for another lady or your wife has just left you to marry a more prosperous man, may be you have just lost a bread winner or a close relative. Your world may have seemed to collapsing right now. Hey, listen to God’s word to you today. Stay in tune with God! He is all that you need in this life. Pay whatever price it takes to acquire His presence in your life. I guarantee you that the reward will be far greater than any price you will pay.Remember, if God be for you, no one and nothing can be against you.
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Roman 8: 31).
May His majestic presence accompany your day today! Remain blessed Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

«A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks» (Luke, 6:45).Some people continually blame others and their hearts are full of negative things, fear, insecurities. The reason is that they have allowed these things to enter their hearts and settle in. Whatever you let in, the same things also goes out.
  • We must prepare the way so that the Lord could come in glory and fullness! II

Yesterday we started talking about God’s desire to demonstrate His glory and fullness in our lives; for this to happen we have to prepare our hearts and to prepare the way of the Lord. We have to cleanse our hearts from the things that God hates and cannot look upon. The following verses from the Scripture reveal the principle of preparation the way of the Lord.«In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; make His paths straight.’”» (Mathew, 3:1-3).

  • God wants prayer to become priority in the lives of His children!

Everything that devil has bound up in your life – your miracle, your promises, – can be released to you by the supernatural power of God. But for it to happen, prayer must become your number 1 priority.Take any Bible story and you will see what powerful prayer of believers is able to accomplish. For example, what did Daniel do when he was thrown into lions’ den? Did he pray? No, it was too late to pray. He had been praying long before he got to this point in his life. It is too late to pray when you are in a den with some lions. You must pray before anything like that happens! Daniel prayed three times a day every day.
  • Apart from Him there is no true satisfaction and happiness! III

We will continue about Solomon’s search for happiness, satisfaction and the meaning of life. We have already discussed that in the beginning of his life Solomon sought God and loved him, and God gave him wisdom and riches, happiness and fulfilment in life. But Solomon got caught up with superficial things of this world and started to follow other gods. Solomon started seeking for happiness and satisfaction in things and activities. He found only disappointment in them and then he turned back to his beginning. The story of Solomon is a lesson to all of us; it tells us that the meaning of life, happiness and satisfaction cannot be found anywhere but in God alone. So we need to develop and strengthen personal relationships with God.
