Be bold and courageous in the use your spiritual gifts

Good afternoon friends! I thank God for another possibility to share with you wisdom from God. Today I would like to continue on the lesson from the life of Joseph. Simply put, our main thought today is this: Be bold and courageous in the use of your spiritual gifts.
“Then the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison, had a dream, both of them, each man’s dream in one night and each man’s dream with its own interpretation. 6 And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, and saw that they were sad. 7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?” 8 And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.” So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.” (Genesis40: 5-8).
In the above passage, we see how Joseph, who had just been thrown into prison, was exercising his gift to interpret dreams. He took a bold step and asked the people to relate their dreams to him because he was sure that God would give him the interpretation. And do you know what? God did exactly that, – He gave to Joseph the interpretation of these dreams. This is an example of how God wants us to act when it comes to exercising our spiritual gifts. We are to be bold and trust God to use us to impact the lives of others as we minister to them through our gifts.Believe that God will heal others through you; therefore, exercise boldness and pray for the sick in faith. Believe God to give you a word of prophecy, of comfort, and of encouragement for that person who is in desperation and fear, so open your mouth in faith and allow God to fill it with words.
I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it” (Psalm81: 10).
The Bible is calling all of us to stir up the gifts of God inside of us.
“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2Timothy 1: 6-7).
This will require an element of faith from us. First of all, we have to believe that the gifts are already in us. Secondly, we have to be bold and courageous to add some actions to our faith despite all fears. It is no secret that faith without works is dead. Friend, God’s word for you today is this: Be bold to use the gifts of God that are lying dormant inside of you right now.
  1. Begin to boldly interpret dreams for someone!
  2. Begin to boldly teach and lead a Bible study group!
  3. Start a faith clinic and boldly begin to minister to the sick!
  4. Start the ministry of edification and encouragement by boldly declaring the prophetic message God has put on your heart to the people who need to hear it!
  5. Rise up to a new level in life by using what God has given you to bless others.
Remember, courage is not the absence of fear; it is the ability to boldly move ahead despite all fears. May a fresh spirit of boldness be released upon you from this day onward in Jesus’ name! Till tomorrow Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Prayer must be my first priority

Today I would like to talk more about the third point. I finished saying that prayer is more about what God wants to tell you and what He wants to do in your life and not what you want to tell Him. So you do not need to tell God what is on your heart; allow God to work through His Word giving Him opportunity to work in your heart and reveal to you His plans. If you want to hear God, you cannot be in a hurry. Effective prayer has nothing to do with haste.
  • Faith is obedience to the Lord!

ew days we have been discussing the ways of how to experience God´s power and mercy in your life. We discovered that love to God and close relationships with Him help you to get to know His heart and His will towards your life while making your heart sensitive to His Spirit. Once our heart is sensitive to the Holy Spirit we are certain about what to do and how to act in order to glorify God through us.
  • Why we need the favour?

«We have heard with our ears, O God, our father have told us, the deeds You did in their days, in days of old: You drove out the nations with Your hand, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out. For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favoured them» (Psalm 44:1-3).
  • Lust brings sin, and sin brings death II

Lust is excessive appetite for something. For example, uncontrollable sexual desire leads to rape, fornication, adultery and different types of sexual perversion. It can also lead to sexual illnesses, sometimes incurable. Moreover, feelings of guilt, depression, suicidal tendencies, breaking up of marriages, sufferings of children, violence, hatred and other similar things are often the result of sexual lust. Lust can also be experienced in the area of finances, drinking or eating. It all has brought pain and suffering to many people in the form of some addiction: alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, stealing, treachery, murder etc.
  • Definitely write down the vision you receive from God II

«…Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.» (Habakkuk 2:2).Make notes of everything you believe in, everything that God speaks to your heart during prayer, fasting or Bible studies on the paper! For example, you may say: “I wish I could preach the word of God followed by miracles and wondrous things”, or “I wish I could bring relief to orphans by giving some of them a shelter in my house”, or ”I want to establish a school for those who would minister in the church”.
  • The changes in our lives take place when we become the doers of the Word

«Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does» (James, 1:21-25).
