What are the benefits of fearing walking in the fear of God

Hello friends! Today I want to continue to share with you the place of the fear of God in the life of a child of God. The blessedness of walking in the fear of God and in the ways of the Lord cannot be overemphasized. As we saw yesterday, the Bible teaches that wisdom begins with the fear of God.The wisdom that results from walking in the fear of the Lord has many-sided benefits. We are going to consider some of these benefits as elaborated for us in the book of Psalm 128:1-4:
“Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.   For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.  Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.  Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD”
So what are the benefits of walking in the fear of God according to the above passage?
  1. You will eat the fruit of your labour. In other words, your labour shall not be in vain. God will prosper you in all your endeavours and your labours will not only yield fruits, but you will eat of the fruits.
  2. You shall be happy and satisfied with life. You will enjoy the blessings of the Lord
  3. It will be well with you on all levels (physical health, spiritual health, and mental soundness)
  4. Your wife and your children shall be fruitful and blessed.
These are just a few of the benefits that await anyone who dares to walk in the fear of God. If you desire all these things in your life, then take some time today to inspect your heart to see if you are walking in the ways and the fear of the Lord or not. This is God’s word for you today! Many blessings, Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • God doesn’t want us to give up! II

Yesterday we started talking about how not to give up, when problems and trials are all around us. Today we are going to continue about it and I would like to share with you where we can find the strength for it. In order for us not to give up when dealing with hardships and challenges we must know that problems are a common thing and a part of life. Nobody is secured against them no matter how big your love for God is. If you think that you are the only one with problems and the others don’t have any, then you set yourself up for failure.
  • Presence of God IV

We have been talking about God’s presence in our lives. As we have discussed, God’s presence makes all the difference in our lives. It makes us strong. It makes us wise. We can experience God’s presence through fervent praying, through cleansing and purifying of our hearts, though brokenness and humility before God, and through holy and godly living.Moses made prayer a priority in order to secure God’s presence in his life and ministry; for this reason he set up a special tent where all the seekers of God were invited to come.
  • What are you doing with your promotion? II

If you want God to exalt you, you need to love God and love people. God exalts the loving hearts. Love God and love your neighbour – these are two main commandments. All of your knowledge won’t bring any results, if you forget these two most important commandments. You probably have noticed that God does not answer all prayers. There are some prayers that God does not pay attention to; it happens when we break two most important commandments – to love God and to love your neighbour. Love towards God and people around you are the very power that must rule us and lead us through life. Love towards God and people that is demonstrated in deeds and not in words brings us to the place where promotion from God is possible.
  • What is favour? II

It is so wonderful that God has given us a full manual for wholesome living. Bible is full of principles and instructions for a happy life on the earth, and – the most important – it gives us a guarantee of eternal life. Every wise person not only reads the Bible, but also uses its principles in his daily walk.
  • The counselling

Every one of us tries to help people by giving advice or recommendations. There are moments in life when we want to reveal certain truths to people so that they could make right choices. Every one of us needs counsel and guidance. It says in the Bible: «Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counsellors they are established» (Proverbs, 15:22).
  • What true ministry is and how ministry changes people’s lives

We saw that usually Jesus first served people and helped them practically and then pointed them to the eternal things – to their Heavenly Father. We must remember that the goal of ministry is to help people reunite with God through our good words.True ministry will require of us to sacrifice something. But we do it for the Lord Jesus Christ and the Gospel
