Where to get joy?

Peace be to you, dear children of God!Thank God for this day that God has given us. Thank God for an opportunity to abide in His Word and draw power, strength and wisdom from it.Yesterday we talked about joy and how important it is to serve God with a joyful heart. Today I would like to talk more about where to get this joy if we don’t have it, if the circumstances of life do not allow us rejoice. What is the source of joy? Here are some ideas that we can find from the Holy Scripture:
«The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes» (Psalm 19:8-9).
This passage of Scriptures tells us that one of the sources of joy is God’s Word, meditation on the Word and the perception of the (our) world through the prism of the Word. That is why it is so important for us to realize that if we want to remain in joy and learn to draw joy, we must grow in love with God’s Word.The Word of God is a strong motivator for praise and rejoicing.
«Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts» (Jeremiah, 15:16).
Prophet Jeremiah says here that he found the Word of God, dug it up and ate it. How is it possible for us to eat the Word? We „eat” the Word, when we meditate on it and implement the word into our lives. Jeremiah said that first the truth might seem bitter and unpleasant, but later it becomes a source of gladness and rejoicing, if we decide to receive it regardless of our feelings and impressions.If today you want to live in joy then feed yourself from this source, which is the Word of God. The Word of God – it is one of the sources of joy. Once and again we return to the fact that we must feed on the Word of God every day, take it in as our daily bread and then the joy of the Lord will never leave us.May the Lord bless you abundantly on this day!     God sends this word for a particular purpose – to exalt every one of His children because He loves everyone the same way. I hope God lifts us up to a new level spiritually and materially. But first the truth must be recorded in our hearts. This truth needs to be established in us to keep and guard our hearts.Pray and ask God to show you the situations where you have mistreated people and then repent. New opportunities and new doors can not be opened for us until we repent of our sins.

    «“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.». (Matthew 5:43-45).If only all people lived according to the commandments of love there would be much less pain and tragedies on Earth. There would be much less tears on Earth if people took care for each other instead of seeking their own benefits.

  • Faith without love is not biblical faith!

    If you have faith, but do not have love, then, according to Paul, you are “sounding brass and a clanging cymbal” and you are “nothing”. Faith without love does not work. That is why it is so important to learn to walk in love. Otherwise our hearts won’t be able to go through the last day attacks. Faith will not work without love!What are you going to do when people will hate, persecute and hurt you? Will you get offended and look for the ways to pay them back and do evil? That is the reaction of flesh; that is the reaction of a natural man.

  • You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice!

    We are not only created by God, we are also reworked or recreated by Jesus Christ. We are talking about the opportunity available to sinful people because Christ has come into this world. This is exactly what the letter to Ephesians says:«You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.» (Ephesians 2:1-10).

    Who of you desires for God to be with you as the Partner at home, at work, and everywhere else? God wants it more than we do. But God can not deviate from His principles. Many believers deceive themselves thinking that God is with them, even though their life does not testify of it. It is a paradox. You may think that since God has promised to be with you and never to leave you or forsake you, He is indebted to be with you. It is also possible that God is with us, but not in a pleasant way. It is not about God; it is about how we live.
