The seed contains tremendous potential

Peace to you, precious children of God! I bless you on this wonderful day and pray that you prosper and be in good health just as your soul prospers. For several days already we have been talking about the power of seed, about the potential that is hidden in it. Yesterday we started discussing the parable of the sower that went out to sow seed. The seed that is sown will certainly bring fruit. But in order for this to happen it is necessary to prepare the ground or the soil. God Himself works in accordance with the principle of sowing. When He wants to accomplish something He sows His seed. When God wants to heal He sows the seed of healing into the person’s life that is in need of healing, and the seed bring forth healing.
«He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.» (Psalm 107:20)
God’s seed is His Word.
«The sower sows the word.» (Мark 4:14)
Our attitude towards God’s Word is very important. God sends His Word into our lives so that His Word would bring to us that which we need. In order for the seed of God’s Word to grow in our hearts, the condition of our hearts is particularly important.
«For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it.» (Isaiah 55:10-11).
God tells us here that there are no problems with His seed. The problem is with what we do to the seed and the preparations we have made in our hearts so that the seed would be sown into the right ground. So, Jesus told the parable of the sower, and afterward He started to explain the different types of soil.
«And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.» (Мк.4:15-19)
Dear friends, God can not do anything for us apart from His Word. God’s Word is His seed, and God’s life is hidden in His seed. If we do not seek the understanding of God’s Word then Satan comes and steals the Word. If we are not consistent in the area of reading the Word, meditating on it, practicing it so that it can become rooted in our hearts, – then sorrows, persecution, different problems will pull up the seed of the Word from our hearts and we won’t be able to obtain the anticipated fruit of healing, prosperity and God’s protection. Further Jesus says that if there are any type of weeds in our hearts – love of money and other sinful desires, then they choke the Word and make the seed unfruitful. Dear friends, I want to remind you once again that the seed contains tremendous potential that is capable of changing our lives. But it is important to remember that the condition of our hearts is what determines whether the Word brings forth fruit or not. May God help you to watch over your hearts and keep them clean so that the Word could take root there and bear fruit. Read the Word consistently , meditate on it, implement it into your life so that it can take root and bear abundant fruit. May no sorrow, or persecution nor trouble be able to choke God’s Word out of our lives!God bless you! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Greatness starts with little things!

Begin using the little things you have and be faithful and consistent in it; then you will be surprised to see what can grow out of it. The seed of greatness is in every person right now. But this seed will grow and bring harvest only if you will plant it and use it according to its original purpose.«A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time» (Isaiah, 60:22).
  • Value God’s Word! IV

Today I would like to continue talking about the importance of God’s Word.We saw what God spoke through Moses that God’s Word is our life. We also talked about the fact that our attitude towards the Word can either prolong our life or shorten it. We have already seen in the parables of Jesus that our attitude towards God’s Word determines the strength of our foundation, our life and all the things we are building. Yesterday we also talked about the fact that God’s Word is able to change our disappointments into joy, bankruptcy – into abundance. We saw all of it in the life of Peter. I would like for us to look at the verses that talk about Peter when he was utterly failing and ready to give up.
  • Do not live without vision!

Today I would like to share with you a word about building or constructing your future. The truth is that we are a product of what we see. In order for us to reach any goals in life, we have to first see (visualize or imagine) them. So many people do not advance and move forward because of the lack of vision; they only live in the ‘now’. Very often people do not have any future plans; they do not have a clue of what goals they want to reach in this life.
  • All great things always start small and insignificant

Yesterday we began talking about how all great things always start small and insignificant. In order to enter the fullness of your calling and ministry, we need to do what is revealed to us today whatever that would be. Your knowledge, your experience and your mind – these are all gifts from God which we can use in serving people. When you serve people with your gifts, then these gifts make room for you. «A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Studying the church history, we see that all of God’s generals didn’t start big. These people used what they had and did whatever they could. They began using the abilities they had. Eventually, their gifts found their place in the Body of Christ and grew into large ministries.
  • What drives your life?

There are many things that drive people’s life, motivate them and influence their system of values. Many believers are driven by wrong motives today. In order to live strategically you definitely have to ask yourself these questions: “Why do I do what I do?”, “What are my secret motives?”, “What values influence my life?”, “What affects my decisions and my choice?”, “What is driving me in the spending of my money and time?”, “What drives my life?”
