Our life is a product of what we see II

Peace to you, dear friends! I salute you on the pages of our „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification»!We have been talking about the fact that we can plan together with God and partner with Him to construct a great future. We established also that great future does not happen automatically.We are believers, but that does not mean that we do not have to think about the future. We should not be careless about our future even though we believe that our future is in the hand of God. God has given us a mind and He wants us to move forward and create a wonderful future for ourselves. A person who does not care about his future usually turns to be a failure. It is very important to plan for the future and to envision it.
«Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…»(Ephesians, 3:20)
Yesterday we discussed the idea that God first places some images of what He wants us to become in our minds and thoughts. That means we first need to accept God’s plan and ponder upon it, or we will never have it. And in order to start pondering upon it we need to see this plan in our minds. What we cannot see we cannot have. God wants us to stop complaining about our life and to get serious about creating a new, successful future. The Bible says that
 „God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy, 1:7).
God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind. The phrase ‘sound mind’ means ‘healthy mind’. God wants us to use our minds and purposefully move towards our wonderful future. If you have no understanding and no ideas of what your tomorrow is going to be like or if you really do not care about it or you lack the vision for it, it is all wrong, because God Himself does not want you to live like that. Many people have different excuses in this area, saying, „God alone knows my future; so why should I think about it?” Others say, „Whatever will be will be; there is nothing I can do about it”.   It is all a lie, and it is a wrong, erroneous thinking. God is calling us to become partners with Him so that together you can design a wonderful future. God cannot do it without us, and we cannot do it without Him. If we will cooperate with God, ponder upon the things He thinks and speaks of us and our future and move towards that future, – we will start seeing real changes in our lives. Till tomorrow!     We have been created fro love and fellowship with God. More than anything He wants us to love Him with all the whole essence. God initiated our relationships with Him. First of all, God sent Jesus to suffer, so we could restore the fellowship with Him. Now, when it´s already happened, the relationships with God have to become personal and intimate. If there is no order in our relationships with God, our whole life will be a chaos, so everything in it will be set the wrong way.     Submission to God doesn´t mean doing everything that comes to your mind. Contrariwise, it makes us responsible for getting to know what God bears in His heart regarding His will to our life. For this reason you have to submit yourself in whole to the Lord in order to have fellowship with Him as a source of inspiration, freshness and guidance. Everybody who experienced His power in his life and became a tool of His mercy constantly submitted himself to the Lord.

  • God’s Word being the best means of cleansing for a human heart

    God cleanses me through His Word, so I have to be absorbed in it daily. It might seem to you that you are not getting anything out of it, but it is not so. When we read the Word, we receive deep cleansing, just like people get clean when they bathe. It must be done as often as possible so we would stink spiritually. If you start to notice that you are getting quick-tempered, it means you need to wash it off. If you notice your heart closing up, it means you are not reading the Word and missing the cleansing. If you notice things that do not comply with Christian standards, for example, picking a quarrel, it is a sign of not being in the Word enough.

  • So a disciplined person is able to subject or control himself

    A disciplined person is always in submission to certain set of rules and order. If you do not have any rules or regulations, if you avoid the word ‘order’, in your life, then you are undisciplined, and you won’t be able to experience any spiritual progress or growth.Spiritual growth which is related to positive changes in a person’s life is not a heritage meant for undisciplined people. If a person lacks discipline, he will always break and ignore rules and regulations. It does not matter how many sets of rules and regulations he impose on himself for noble purposes, an undisciplined man will break them all as soon as he made them.

  • On what does your destiny depend?

    We mostly think that our destiny is determined by other people or how they act toward us. Or we think that destiny depends on the circumstances that surround us or things that happen around us. But it is not true, and God does not think that way! God knows that the circumstances in your life won’t define your life. What people do or do not do to you cannot determine your life. Your destiny is defined by where your heart is. Thus, God tells us that we have to guard our hearts with all diligence.
