Our life is a product of what we see II

Peace to you, dear friends! I salute you on the pages of our „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification»!We have been talking about the fact that we can plan together with God and partner with Him to build a great future. We also established that a great future does not happen automatically. We are believers, but that does not mean that we do not have to think about the future. We should not be careless about our future even though we believe that our future is in the hands of God. God has given us a mind and He wants us to move forward and create a wonderful future for ourselves. A person who does not care about his future usually turns out to be a failure. It is very important to plan for the future and to envision it.
«Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…»(Ephesians, 3:20)
Yesterday we discussed the idea that God first places some images of what He wants us to become in our minds. That means we first need to accept God’s plan and ponder upon it, or we will never have it. And in order to start pondering upon it, we need to see this plan in our minds. What we cannot see we cannot have. God wants us to stop complaining about our life and to get serious about creating a new, successful future. The Bible says that
„God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy, 1:7).
God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind. The phrase ‘sound mind’ means ‘healthy mind’. God wants us to use our minds and purposefully move towards our wonderful future. If you have no understanding and no ideas of what your tomorrow is going to be like, or if you really do not care about it, or you lack the vision for it, it is all wrong, because God Himself does not want you to live like that. Many people have different excuses in this area, saying, „God alone knows my future, so why should I think about it?” Others say, „Whatever will be, will be; there is nothing I can do about it”.   It is all a lie, and it is wrong, erroneous thinking. God is calling us to become partners with Him so that together we can design a wonderful future. God cannot do it without us, and we cannot do it without Him. If we cooperate with God, ponder upon the things He thinks and speaks of us and our future, and move towards that future, we will start seeing real changes in our lives. Till tomorrow! God bless you! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Faith is obedience to the Lord!

Are you willing to experience God and His power in your life? If so, trust God and express it via your obedience to Him. The Bible says that without faith you can´t please the Lord. If you don´t please God you cannot experience His presence nor power neither. When God reveals you something He is going to accomplish, you have to follow his invitation without hesitation. It proves your devotion and your desire to listen to His voice. Meanwhile, disobedience turns your heart to stone and shuts our ears to God´s voice. Faith is acting in accordance to the word of God. Quite often God calls us to do impossible things, those only God Himself can accomplish.
  • Not only prayer helps us enter God’s presence, it is a source for godly revelations

Moses received messages from God because he spent time with Him.If you want to be effective servant of God, whatever the quality of your ministry would be, you must learn to receive the messages from God.God knows the needs of people whom you serve. He will always give you fresh manna that the people whom you serve would be fed and encouraged every day. If you want to be a successful Christian, allow God to give you a fresh word from heaven every day. Then you will always be fresh and fruitful.
  • Discipline is one of the ways how God transforms His children into the image of Jesus Christ

We can miss many important and useful opportunities in life if we underestimate what is going on in our lives. God’s discipline is one of these opportunities. Believers have a tendency to despise the discipline of their Heavenly Father. Yet in the Epistle to Hebrews The Lord is calling us to resist the wrong attitude of some believers towards God’s discipline. It says in the Bible: « My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him» (Hebrews, 12:5). The believers that are focused on comfort usually are indifferent towards the truth of God disciplining them. Some of them aren’t even bothered by their sins or irresponsibility. People like that want to be blessed by God, yet they despise God’s discipline. The Bible also tells us that punishment is profitable for us and not God.
  • You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice!

We are not only created by God, we are also reworked or recreated by Jesus Christ. We are talking about the opportunity available to sinful people because Christ has come into this world. This is exactly what the letter to Ephesians says:«You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.» (Ephesians 2:1-10).
  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.
  • The importance of our faithfulness to God II

God counts on our involvement and participation just as He counted on Moses’ victory over Pharaoh. Moses was faithful in the house of God, and for this reason Pharaoh could not stop the process of the deliverance and the salvation of God’s people despite his power, his strength and his huge army.Jesus Christ was faithful to His mission and for this reason in Him all people in this world have an opportunity to receive redemption, salvation and deliverance.
