Why we need the favour? II

Good day to you, friends! The power of God’s favour should not be taken for granted. For this reason, for several days now we have been talking about this important matter.Favour is the solution for all of your problems – spiritual, physical, material and financial. We see that in the life of the nation of Israel.
«And the Lord had given the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested» (Exodus, 12: 36)
When God gave favour to the children to Israel, in one day they took away from the Egyptians an enormous amount of silver and gold.  For 400 years the Israelites had worked in Egypt as slaves; they were mocked and oppressed. However, in one moment the favour of God restored to them everything the Egyptians were holding back from them. In a blink of an eye they were made rich.
«He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes» (Psalm, 105: 37).
It was God’s favour that ensured the financial wellbeing of Israelites. That is one of the things God’s favour gives us. We need it so much. Even Jesus needed the favour in order to excel with God.
«And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men» (Luke, 2 : 52).
Favour is your heritage in God. It is written:
«For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield» (Psalm, 5: 12).
Do not lose this wonderful heritage from God! Today be grateful to God for the blessings He surrounds you with and the favour He crowns you with as a shield. Receive His blessing in that sphere of your life where you seem to experience stagnation, and you will see God’s movement and breakthrough. May the Lord bless you!Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

God so desires for us to seek Him early in the morning. He so desires for us to return to Him. He wants to heal us and to bind up our wounds. God so wants to revive and restore us, so that we could live before Him. When we seek the Lord, when we seek to know Him, He comes and immerses us into His presence; He pours out His rain on us and waters the earth.Yesterday we talked about how Moses set up a tabernacle outside the camp for all seekers of the Lord. We also saw that instead of entering the tabernacle and seeking the face of the Lord, Israelites were simply observing how Moses spoke to God and how God answered Moses.
  • You cannot multiply what you do not sow

We are still talking about necessity to use the gifts that have been given to us by the Lord. Jesus wants every person to be faithful in little things and then God will place such a person over greater things. God presents everyone with opportunities to start serving Him and bringing forth fruit for God’s Kingdom. You cannot multiply what you do not sow.In the Gospel of Mathew Jesus told a parable about Master giving his servants different talents.
  • God is the only one who knows the true meaning of human life

We are saved by Jesus Christ not by our deeds, to be followed by good deeds God has determined for us. Once we realise that He created us, we understand that our life on this Earth is absolutely meaningless without Him, without relationship and collaboration with God. Without Him we would resemble those who lack brain, wandering in the desert, having no certain way to go. Therefore, such people walk in the dark without light, staggering like a drunken man.«He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth, And causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. They grope in the dark without light. He makes them stagger like a drunken man.» (Job 12:24-25).
  • The importance of favouring the Kingdom of God

The point is that favour can be sown not just in relation to other people, but also in relation to God and His work on the earth. Your attitude towards the work of the Kingdom will determine the level of Kingdom blessings operating in your life.«You will rise and have mercy of Zion; for the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favour to her dust So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory» (Psalm 102:13-15).
  • The Importance of God’s will

Today I would like to start talking about „The Importance of God’s will”. The Holy Scripture says: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Mathew, 7: 21). The Bible calls every one of us to have sound mind, especially in learning the will of God for his or her life.«Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is» (Ephesians, 5:18).Why is it so important to allocate some time for seeking out the will of God? Why is understanding of God’s will so necessary for a person? It is because the understanding of God’s will determine both our happiness here, on earth, and our status in the future, in eternity.
