Your attitude influences your progress

Welcome to our Daily Word for Spiritual Strength. We are still discussing the subject “What are you doing with your talent?”We have talked about the fact that in order to develop your gifts and talents, you need to find where they can be used, and that through our dream we can expand our talents.Another thing influencing the development of our talent is our attitude to life. I would like to say to everyone – your attitude influences your progress.In the parable about the talents, Jesus is talking about a person who buried his talent because his thinking was wrong, and this influenced the action he took.
Then the man who had received the one talent came. Master, he said, I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you. (Matt.25:24-25)
The judgements, the beliefs, and the convictions of a person influence his attitude and this attitude has an effect on the progress we make.The man in the parable did not multiply his talent because he had the wrong attitude. This man believed lies rather than the truth. That is the lies which many people believe, which become an obstacle to their progress and development. The lies can go something like, “no one loves me”, then any attempt from people to show love towards you, will be rejected. A person believing in lies from the enemy will not be able to accept blessings, help, and advice from others, as all this would be misinterpreted. A person believing in lies will often be defending himself from others, mistrusting others or blaming others for everything. Instead of taking responsibility for his life, this person will think that others are to blame. This kind of person would distance themselves and shut themselves off from the people who actually can help them. This is way the life of a person can easily become paralysed, with no development or advancement. And all this is due to wrong attitude. When I talk about wrong attitude I mean an attitude which says – “everyone owes me something and I do not owe anything to anyone”. Do we really want to help a person who thinks we owe him something? No! Usually these people have problems with gratitude and would blame others even if they are helping them. Nothing is ever right for these people.We want to help a person who has gratitude. Gratitude is attitude too. A humble person accepts teaching. Every other attitude is pride and vanity. A conceited and arrogant person is not teachable; he wants to teach others, always thinking he knows best. A vain person thinks others do not know anything and he is the one who knows it all, besides he is always right. If you talk to these people they would not want to listen to what you have to say, they are only waiting for the moment to give their opinions. These people would interrupt others, as in their mind only their opinion is the right one. This kind of attitude is arrogant. But we can change and develop ourselves.Please give this a thought, how do you use your talent? God wants us to develop and expand our gifts. If you do not develop your abilities you cannot achieve more. so we have seen that in order to increase your abilities you must use your talents in practise. Have a dream and change your attitude.     Remember, what is the first sign of a change man? It is the changed attitude towards other people. Joseph’s attitude towards his brothers tells us that he had been changed. Imagine that these were the people that sold him into slavery and caused him to go through pain, misery, losses, trials and serious problems. And now brothers came to Joseph for help and he helped – freely and with no desire to pay back for all the pain. He was able to do it because he was changed and freed from unforgiveness, bitterness and resentment.

  • How to enter your ministry?

    Yesterday we started discussing how we can enter our ministry. We established that, first; we need a strong desire to serve. This desire is tied to our understanding of God’s will and the purpose of our salvation. As we talked about, ministry helps us to reveal our potential. Ministry helps us to find out about ourselves, our calling in the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth and doing the works that are pleasing to God. God has predestined for us to do particular good works. God desires for us to be fruitful and glorify Him on earth. Through our ministry God wants to fill this earth with the knowledge of Him and His Kingdom. He wants us to establish His principles in every sphere of life and win people for Him by the ministry we do on earth.

    God helped Abraham to believe Him, Who calls those things which do not exist as though they did. This is the principle of right confession. God calls those things that do not exist as though they did. When God gave Abram a new name – Abraham, he did not have any descendants. Neverthelss, because of this new name Abraham began calling himself “a father of many nations”. And when he called himself by name or he was called by others – every time what God had purposed was confessed – particularly that Abraham is going to be a father of many nations. We see that Abraham „contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations…”

    It is only in doing the will of God that you can find protection, prosperity and satisfaction in this life. Your success is always connected to whether or not you fulfill God´s expectation for your life . No one else can provide the answer to that question except you and God. Please keep in mind, that you are personally responsible before God for the fulfillment of His assignment for your life!

  • Faith is obedience to the Lord!

    Are you willing to experience God and His power in your life? If so, trust God and express it via your obedience to Him. The Bible says that without faith you can´t please the Lord. If you don´t please God you cannot experience His presence nor power neither. When God reveals you something He is going to accomplish, you have to follow his invitation without hesitation. It proves your devotion and your desire to listen to His voice. Meanwhile, disobedience turns your heart to stone and shuts our ears to God´s voice. Faith is acting in accordance to the word of God. Quite often God calls us to do impossible things, those only God Himself can accomplish.
