Changes always come from praying!

Peace to you, dear friends!I thank God for this wonderful opportunity to share with you a word of wisdom from the Lord. Today I would like to continue talking about how we need to cry out to God for miracles in our lives and the lives of people around us.We talked about Hannah who did not give up even though she was barren and was being humiliated by other people; she kept on believing God and trusting that He would send her a miracle into her life and give her a baby. She did not plunge into despair and sense of helplessness, but daily brought her needs before God in fervent prayer. Before her situation changed, she wept and wept having not received proof of God’s intervention. Many times she wept out of shame, bitterness, hurt and humiliation since nothing changed in her life. But when she added faith to her tears and turned her weeping into the cry of faith, her situation started changing. Instead of just weeping, Hannah decided to pour out her heart in prayer to the Lord. This is what she said,
«No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD» (1 Samuel, 1: 15).
Remember how Jesus once prayed while experiencing deep hurt and anguish. But regardless of it all He continued to pray and angles came to strengthen Him. Afterwards, the Bible says, Jesus looked at His disciples and told them to get up and go.
“Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.” He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. (..) Then He came the third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand” (Mark, 14: 32-35, 41-42).
After praying Jesus received strength to face death. Changes always come from praying. Empowered by this understanding, Hannah kept on praying until she received her answer. May prayer always be on the top of your priorities! May your prayer be tenacious and consistent and then the desired changes will fill your life. Become a man or woman of fervent prayer! Your miracle is on its way, so do not give up and do not stop calling out to God in prayer!Till tomorrowMay God’s protection be upon you and your household on this day!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Changes depend on our knowledge

«For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but when that which is complete has come, then that which is partial will be done away with. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known». (1st Corinthians 13:9-12).
  • The changes must start with us

«When I was young my imagination did not know any boundaries. And I wanted to change the whole world. In time I realized that I wouldn’t be able to change the world, so I tried to change my country. When I realized that I wouldn’t be able to change the country, I concentrated on changing my city. But I couldn’t change my city either. So, when I had grown older, I tried to change my family. Now when I am an old man waiting to cross over to the other side I have understood that the only one I could change was me. Suddenly I realized that if I had worked on changing myself I would have been able to really affect my family and then my family and I could have affected the city. Through the changes in the city we could have changed the country and the world”.
  • How to develop a habit of prayer in our life? II

Prayer is relationships of love between a man and The God as we determined it earlier. It´s nothing else but the love of God, that prompts people to pray and spend time with Him.A desire to know Him and His will in our life is a kind of food to keep our life in prayer alive. The only way to know His will is to come to see Him and ask Him about it. This desire keeps our life in prayer alive. We have to have such desire to be able to pray continuously.
  • Whatever a man sows that shall he also reap

All of life is sowing. Our words are seeds, our actions are also seeds. Even our all your passivity or inactions are also seeds. So, everyday of your life, you are either sowing into the flesh or sowing into the spirit. One way to sow into the spirit is make use of every opportunity to do that which is good towards all men, especially towards them that are of the household of faith.
  • The truth shall make free

Many people today are running here and there in search of freedom, deliverance and happiness. However, God has place in our hand the responsibility of delivering ourselves from the snare of the devil“Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler” (Proverb 6: 4-5).
