Calling forth convincing and irrefutable proof! II

Welcome, dear friends!I thank God for you and believe that this day will bring you many blessings as you continue to meditate on the word that God gives you today. We are continuing on how we shouldn’t just sit around and idly wait for a miracle to come into your life, but that we should be bringing this miracle about.Yesterday we began talking about Hannah who was in a very unfavourable situation in her life. This woman did not have any children, which at that time was a sign of shame and curse; besides, her rival was continuously provoking her with her words. Outwardly this whole situation seemed totally hopeless. For years she had not seen any changes in her life. Let’s look at what Hannah did in these circumstances?Hannah was being hurt and humiliated and it wasn’t easy, but she continued to pray and weep before the Lord:
« And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish» (1 Samuel, 1: 10).
God did not bless Hannah because she was said or in anguish while passively waiting for the mercy of God to come into her life. Quite the opposite, even in hurt and anguish Hannah called upon God. Here we see how she laid the foundation of the miracle and undeniable proof in her life. When you are in anguish do not become passive and do not lose heart! Understand that when you mix your anguish with prayer then your miracle is on its way.One of the reasons why many people do not see God’s blessings in their lives today is that they waste their lives on anguish and misery, not doing anything else.Prayer became the basis or the foundation for changes and Hannah took hold of it. If you want to experience undeniable proof of God’s intervention in your life – something like Hannah experiences – then you need to stop mourning. Stop ‘celebrating’ you anguish, your failures and misery! Get up and pray to God!When we walk into our prayer closet we turn anguish into testimony!David said,
“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles”(Psalm 34:17).
God hears you when you cry out to Him and not when you sink in our despair and misery, when you grumble and ‘have pity parties’. There is a cry of faith, which God always hears, because He finds a call for help and intervention in it. In this prayer cry God sees faith in Righteous, Just, Loving and Almighty God.Do not give up no matter how terrible your circumstances are! There is nothing impossible for God! Pray! Cry out to God for help and intervention and He will come bringing the answer! Your situation will cardinally change if you start trusting God and casting all your needs on Him.We will continue tomorrow!Peace to you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers; Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”(Mt.4:18-19)I would like you to pay attention to the word “SAW”, which has been mentioned here twice. Passing by, Jesus saw Matthew and two brothers – Peter and Andrew. Jesus had noticed them, somehow they attracted His attention, Jesus invited them to become a part of His team.
  • The importance of turning at the reproof of the Lord.

The Bible tells us that God will correct us because He loves us and is delighted in our prosperity. He will not live us to wander in our unrighteous ways. He will rebuke, chastise and discipline those He love just like any father will do to his children.“My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth” (Proverbs 3:11-12).
  • Be a good example for your children, your younger brothers and sisters!

Children watch and learn from us, and they will repeat what they have seen their parents do. For this reason we can say they being a parent is a calling and assignment from God; the task of a parent is to set correct patterns and show a right example for the children. When the woman from Canaan turned to Jesus in a time of distress she did not think that she is setting an example for her daughter of dealing with hard times. Our children need us not just ‘to talk the talk’, but to live in a correct way and demonstrate our convictions by our daily walk.
  • Which group of people do you belong to today – the disciples or the multitude? II

The way that Jesus will lead us on won’t always be smooth and easy. The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself endured the hostility, the cross and the shame. It means that Jesus will also lead us through the valleys of death and tears; this way is not pleasant and desired, but it is good for us, because God only knows what we need. The disciples followed Jesus not only when He spoke pleasantries, but also when He rebuked or corrected them. They followed Him even when they did not understand the true meaning of His words. The simply trusted His wisdom.
  • Plan, plant, pray, but also act!

I want to begin this word with a story: A man had a wonderful garden that brought him a rich, abundant harvest. When his neighbor saw that, he decided that the next spring he would make a garden for himself too. But after the neighbor had sawn seeds in his garden, he did not do anything there afterward. He did not water his garden, did not cultivate, neither loosened the soil. When the autumn came, his garden was neglected and full with weeds. And, of course, it did not bring forth any fruit.
