Jesus is the head and the chief builder of the happy family

Hello, dear brothers and sisters! My greatest desire and prayer for you is that the will of God might prevail in every area of your life, especially in your family life. Family life can become a hell on earth, but I know everybody wants his or her family to be a heaven on earth. However, this does not happen automatically. It will take special efforts, and allowing Jesus to become the head and chief builder of your family.
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. (Ps.127:1).

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. (Hebrews 3:4)
Jesus is the head and the chief builder of the happy family. Allow God to guide your family and to build your house. For it is only then will your efforts bear fruits. How does God build a house or guide us in our family life? He does that through His Word!
The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. (Psalm 19:8)
God’s revelation strengthens our hearts and impact divine wisdom to us. It is through this Divine wisdom and understanding our house can be built and established.
By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; (Proverbs 24:3)
This is why the Bible invites us to seek wisdom in God’s Word:
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Josua 1:8)
In case your family is going through a tough time right now, try to apply the following godly advices:
  • Pray and seek help from God. Read Bible and meditate over the promises of God.
  • Calm down before God and let go all your bad mood. (Never make any serious decision under the influence of your bad mood.)
  • Do not try to speak when you are angry. Cool down. Remember, words can hurt people.
  • Do not resent yourself. Remember, Jesus loves you anyway.
  • Always be ready to forgive.
  • In case you have constant arguments with your spouse, ask yourself a question, have I decided to love or not to love him/her?
  • do you need to try and look with the eyes of Christ? What do you see?
  • Recall all the nice and sweet moments from the beginning of your relationship. Why did you choose him/her as a your life partner?
May God strengthen your hand to build strong and God fearing family. May the piece of God fill your house! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • How can our relationships with other people help us change?

All people need change; we help each other through relationships that we are involved. God alone does not need to change; all the people, on the other side, desperately need to change. We need each other and we help each other to change. If we do not understand it and lose sight of it, then it will be hard for us to build any relationships.
  • Changes always come from praying! II

If you desire to see and experience a miracle from God in your life, then you must forget about what other people think of your prayer style. At the period of seeking God, you must be concerned about one thing only, – how sincere your heart is during praying and how big your desire is to experience His intervention. Keep trusting and crying out to God even when everybody else have grown weak and lost faith in any possibilities for your life to change. God loves consistent and faithful people. He always has a reward for that type of people.
  • Do not waste your time, but rather invest in what will outlive your time on earth

Send your treasures to heaven by investing in those who are going there. Many are rich with goods and treasures of this world, but they are poor toward God. The Bible call such people fools:20″But God said to him, “You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?” 21This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12: 20-21)
  • Do You Hear What God Speaks? V

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 16:25)Our task is to train our spirit to hear what God is telling us. And even if your intellect is fighting and heart does not agree with what God says to you, anyway, say to God, “I do not know how it happens, I just believe in You!”
  • The importance of unity

This Scripture tells us that the people had one goal, they had one language, and they put forth a unified effort, and it says about them that “now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them”. God said that because of their unity they would be successful in everything that they do. In the Bible God often speaks to His people about unity. Unity is a very important key that allows us as God’s people or the Church to fulfill the will of God and our calling in this earth.
  • Why do we need to cultivate gratitude in our lives II

«For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren» (Romans, 8:29).It is God’s desire for us to be conformed into the image of God’s only Son – Jesus Christ. Gratitude is one of the qualities that help us to do that. Later we will see how gratitude was demonstrated in the life of Jesus and how many events in His life were directly connected to thanksgiving.
