Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, but do not forget that your power to resist the devil is derives from your humility and submission to God

Hello, dear friends!g up our theme on breakthrough. We have exposed the devil, having reveal most of the reasons that are depriving of us breakthrough. The reason for this is that we might eliminate these reasons from our lives and enjoy the best that God has prepared for us.One more reason why breakthrough is delayed in people’s life is because the devil interferes with our miracle. Jesus said:
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John10: 10).
Though according to the context, this passage is more about false teachers, rather than about the devil, but we know exactly, that the devil is both the source and the inspirer of false doctrines. The truth brings freedom, the truth enlighten and impact wisdom. However, the devil who is the father of lie, delights in you remaining a slaves to your circumstances and wallowing in your darkness and ignorance. The devil is not interested in you moving ahead, therefore he do everything possible to interfere with your breakthrough. But, thank God, that this is just a half truth. The absolute truth is that Jesus has come that we may have life and life in the abundance. Thanks to the coming of Christ, we can now resist the devil (the thief), and he will flee away from us.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world” (1 Peter5:8-9).
The bible declares that we can successfully resist Satan through the power of the Holy Spirit. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and the Savior of our lives and submit to God, then we have access to the divine power that forces the devil to be on the run anytime we resist to him.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4: 7).
The Word of God to you today is to resist the devil, and he will flee from you, but do not forget that your power to resist the devil is derives from your humility and submission to God.It is also necessary to notice that simply obeying God and submitting to Him is not sufficient to experience a breakthrough in your life. People who are submissive and obedient to God should also be able to resist the devil and all his works in order to experience breakthrough in life.Dear readers, God wants to give you breakthroughs in life, is that what you want also? If you answer “yes” how are you proving to God that you are very serious about your?Remove all the barriers which can arise on the way of your breakthrough, and start to enjoy divine intervention in each area of your life from now on.I pray, you will be able to say confidently with David:
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever”(Psalm 23: 6).
God bless you! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • How does a truly responsible person look like? II

A responsible person is organized, disciplined and diligent even when nobody watches him or her. Such a person determines what he needs to do, when he needs to do it and makes the necessary effort to accomplish it. A responsible person submits to what he needs to do. Since he understands the importance of being responsible, he cannot be idle or inert. A responsible person effectively uses his time, his energy and his resources.
  • Do not focus of what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have!

Every human being is a unique work of God. Every one has been given unique abilities and talents. There isn’t one unnecessary person on this earth; there isn’t one insignificant talent or ability. Everything that God created is needed by someone and is intended as a blessing for someone. Look at yourself today in a new light and see that you are a unique personality highly gifted by God; you are a unique specimen. There isn’t another person on this earth like you! But sometimes we are distracted when we start comparing ourselves to others and envying them just because they have something we do not have. For this reason we stop appreciating the things that God has given us and sometimes it makes us passive and inert.
  • Thanksgiving as the basis of worship II

God did so much for Joseph. He saved his life when his brothers wanted to kill him. God showed him favor when he was sold into slavery. God abundantly blessed the work of his hands that his master placed him over his whole property. Joseph never forgot these blessings from the Lord. The realizations of God’s mercy filled Joseph’s heart with gratitude toward God and his master.
  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.
  • Worthy Goal for Life II

Yesterday we started talking about our goals. Everyone has them. We discussed that there are worthy and less worthy goals. We also saw that after meeting Christ, Paul devoted his life to Him; earnest expectation of Christ to be glorified in his body and through his life became his main goal in life. It is very important to ascertain for ourselves what our goals are.You and I have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ and we have peace with God. But it is just the beginning. Having been reconciled with God is just the beginning of the Christian walk. What awaits us afterwards? Through faith we gain Access to God’s grace and we expect the glory of God to be progressively revealed in us and through us.
