Be bold and courageous in the use your spiritual gifts

Good afternoon friends! I thank God for another possibility to share with you wisdom from God. Today I would like to continue on the lesson from the life of Joseph. Simply put, our main thought today is this: Be bold and courageous in the use your spiritual gifts.
“Then the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison, had a dream, both of them, each man’s dream in one night and each man’s dream with its own interpretation. 6 And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, and saw that they were sad. 7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?” 8 And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.” So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.” (Genesis40: 5-8).
In the above passage we see how Joseph who has just been thrown into prison was exercising his gift to interpret dreams. He tooк a bold step and asked the people to relate their dreams to him because he was sure that God will give him the interpretation. And do you know what? God did exactly that, – He gave to Joseph the interpretation of these dreams. This is an example of how God wants us to be when it comes to exercising our spiritual gifts. We are to be bold and trust God to use us to impact life to others as we minister to them through our gifts.Belief that God will heal others through you therefore, exercise boldness and pray for the sick in faith. Belief God to give you a word of prophecy, of comfort and of encouragement for that person who is in desperation and fear, so open your mouth in faith and allow God to fill it with words.
I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it” (Psalm81: 10).
The Bible is calling all of us to stir up the gifts of God inside us.
“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2Timothy 1: 6-7).
This will require some elements of faith from us. First of all, we have to believe that the gifts are already in us. Secondly, we have to be bold and courageous to add some actions to our faith despite all fears. It is no secret that faith without work is dead. A friend, God’s word for you today is this: Be bold to use the gifts of God that are lying dormant inside of you right now.
  1. Begin to boldly interpret dreams for someone!
  2. Begin to bodly teach and lead a bible study group!
  3. Start a faith clinic and boldly begin to minister to the sick!
  4. Start the ministry of edification and encouragement by boldly declaring the prophetic message God has put on your heart to the people who need to hear them!
  5. Rise up to a new level in life by using what God has given you to bless others.
Remember courage is not the absence of fear; it is the ability to boldly move ahead despite all fears. May a fresh spirit of boldness be released upon you from this day onward in Jesus Name! Till tomorrow Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

Let’s talk about another quality Jethro possessed: he did not pressure Moses to accept his advice. We can see in the Scripture, which I would like us to look at:«If you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace» (Exodus, 18:23).We can see here that Jethro did not demand Moses to accept his advice, but gave him a chance to make a choice himself. The phrase “if you do this thing” means that even if Moses did not listen to Jethro, he would not be upset. So he knew he could not take it personally if Moses chooses a different way.
  • Habit is a compilation of knowledge, skills and willingness III

If we want to have fruitful prayer life, then prayer must become a habit. In order for that to happen we must gain some skills in the area of prayer. Skill means how we do something. When you know what you need to do and why you need to do it, the next step is HOW to do it. If you don’t know how, this activity can’t become a habit. But you won’t be able to learn how, unless you actually start doing it. I won’t know how to pray, unless I start praying. I am sure we already know very much about prayer. You can put to practice this knowledge that you have. Thus you obtain skills. Skills are developed by putting knowledge to practice.

«Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! ’» (Matthew, 7:21-23).
  • Jesus as the example of a true minister

We see that Jesus experienced serious difficulties in the days of His earthly life, but He did not focus on them. Jesus was busy serving the Father and those He was sent to serve. While Jesus served people, the Father made sure people ministered to Jesus; God met Jesus’ needs through His ministry. When we serve others, God motivates others to serve us. We always reap what we have sown. We do not serve people because we do not have any problems, – we serve people because it pleases God. And when we serve, despite the fact that we have problems, needs and concerns, God makes sure some people that we do not even know serve us by meeting our needs

It says in the Bible: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path» (Psalm, 119:105). It is God’s Word that starts the light of God in our hearts and leads our steps on the right path: «You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness» (Psalm, 18:28).
  • What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time? IV

In order for us to learn react to problems and pain in a correct manner we need a revelation about the fact that while we live in this world there will be no end to pain and hardships. For as long as sin exists on the earth pain won’t cease in people’s lives. We suffer not only due to our own sins and wrong decisions, but also due to the sins and wrong decisions of other people.Joshua and Caleb, as well as the whole generation of Israel that finally entered the Promised Land were forced to wander through the wilderness for almost 40 years. Why? We know that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit and they believed God and walked in obedience. Nevertheless, due to the wrong decisions made by other people they had to suffer and wander in the wilderness for all that time.
