Changes always come from praying! III

Good day to you, dear readers of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! God bless you and keep you today from all evil!During the past few days we have been talking about the idea of a person being the main initiator of the miracles he needs in his life. In order for God to be able to do something supernatural in the individual’s life this individual must create the natural platform or foundation for this miracle. When you mix your distress with prayer, then the miracle will surely happen and you will have true and undisputable proof of God’s miracle and His supernatural intervention. We talked about the life of Hannah who cried out to God inspite of her practically hopeless circumstances and kept expecting her miracle. People that saw Hannah thought she was drunk. But it was her despair mixed with prayer and trust in God.What was the result of Hannah’s prayer? The result or the answer to Hannah’s prayer did not linger. A year later she was holding in her hands undeniable proof of the fact that God intervenes in human affairs.
„So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, „Because I have asked for him from the LORD.” Now the man Elkanah and all his house went up to offer to the LORD the yearly sacrifice and his vow. But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, „Not until the child is weaned; then I will take him, that he may appear before the LORD and remain there forever” (1 Samuel, 1: 20-21).
During prayer Hannah gave a promise to God that if He gave her a son she would give him for the service to God.If we are ready to give the Lord all the blessings He has given us, then the flow of miracles won’t stop in our lives. If our hearts are glued to God Himself and not His blessings, then God won’t be able to turn His eyes away from us.After Hannah weaned her son she returned to Shiloh with the proof of God’s faithfulness.
«Now when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bulls, one ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and brought him to the house of the Lord in Shiloh. And the child was young. Then they slaughtered a bull, and brought the child to Eli. And she said, “O may lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you’re here, praying to the Lord. For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him» (1 Samuel, 1: 24-27).
We looked at Hannah’s situation and saw what she did, how she acted and how God rewarded her trust and consistency. If you will imitate her then you will be able to initiate your solid and undeniable proof. Do not sit and wait, and waste your time! Start initiating your miracle and may your life be filled with God’s miracles!May God abundantly bless you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Jesus was constantly seeking the God´s will for His life

Reading the Bible we see how Jesus was growing and being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him. Jesus was constantly seeking the God´s will for His life, in order to set a good example for us. If Jesus had got to know God´s will using His divine nature instead, He wouldn´t have set a role model to us nor we wouldn´t be able to follow his steps today. Jesus stayed longer in the Temple after the feast of Passover in Jerusalem while other people had already left for home (see Luke 2:41-51). What was Jesus doing there and why did He stay longer in the Temple? He stayed there to listen to the scribes and to question them. That´s one of His secrets where His wisdom came from. Jesus studied the Scriptures. He attended the Temple and asked questions, prayed and leaned closer to God, His Father.
  • The steps God takes in disciplining us II

If we listen to the conviction of the Holy Spirit that is communicated through the people God sends to us to correct us and repent of our sins, then He stops all the judgments. But, if we continue in our stubbornness and resist Him, God allows more trouble in our lives in order to show us that there are spiritual problems in us that we need to resolve. If after that we still resist Him and refuse to humble ourselves before Him, then He increases penalties. God does that because He loves us and does not want any of His children to perish.
  • In our lives we must reflect the life, the power and the nature of Christ III

Our ministry is to be the salt and light to our society. God has granted us this ministry, but not because we are better than others. God gave us this ministry because of His mercy. Now as the recipients of God’s mercy we do not have any right to condemn those that do not know God and live under the power of the prince of darkness. God is sending us – His children — into the world to spread the light and reconciliation. While doing this ministry, we should not lose heart; we should not allow anything to stop us. We must be courageous and go forward enduring sorrows as good soldiers of Jesus Christ.
  • How to enter your ministry III

I welcome you to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! We have been talking about how to enter out ministry. We have established that, first; we have to have a strong desire to serve God with our gifts and talents. We discussed the tact that ministry helps us to discover our potential. We know now that God desires us to be fruitful and glorify Him on earth. Also, every one of us has to find out for himself what he can serve with. The following things as education, experience, gifts and talents and skills can help us in this. There is something else that we have to learn for ourselves: we must learn to think big.
  • Purpose for living VI

The story of Solomon is a lesson to all of us; it tells us that the meaning of life, happiness and satisfaction cannot be found anywhere but in God alone. So we need to develop and strengthen personal relationships with God.Today we will talk about how Solomon tried to find happiness and satisfaction in family life. «Life joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun» (Ecclesiastes, 9:9).
  • Everything that is hidden will unavoidably be brought into the light III

In one of his psalms David talks about a day in the life of a person that has repented of all of his sins before God. We can see the advantages of that kind of lifestyle.«Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit!» (Psalms, 32:1-2)
