Constant fellowship with God

Peace on you, dear children of God when you read “Daily word for spiritual strength”! I believe the Lord with strengthen you though His word of wisdom given to us today. We continue to reason about life abundant God wants His children to receive.

«but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth». (Colossians 3:8).

The verse above shows us how easily we can reject all kind of sins and our old life if we have constant fellowship with God.

«Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance…»(Colossians 3:12).

Having constant fellowship with God we begin to see ourselves as God´s chosen ones, holy and beloved. Each of us is unique and some can see it and believe it, however, not everybody has revealed it for himself. If you look at yourself as at the God´s chosen one, you life will easily reflect a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance. In addition you will notice how these qualities reflect in your inner world and your relationships with God and other people as well.

« Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.» (Colossians 3:16-17).

Once you reveal yourself in Him, His peace enters your heart and you will find it easy to live to share the world with other people. If you reveal yourself in Him, God´s wisdom will follow you all your life so you become a source of wisdom, comfort and encouragement for other people. When you reveal yourself in Him, your attitude towards your work and to any other work in general will change. Moreover, having revealed yourself in Him the relationships in your family will change.

«Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged. Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.». (Colossians 3:18-24).

When you have revealed yourself in Him, you´ll experience changes and order coming to your family. If a wife reveals herself in Him she will easily submit herself to her husband, instead of feeling herself as a lower class creature she will feel herself as God´s chosen one. Those husbands who revealed themselves in Him can easily love their wives the way Christ loves His church, ready to die for them.

That´s what awe call life abundant!

It´s impossible to have life abundantly without revealing yourself in Him. In turn, you can´t reveal yourself in Him without seeking things that are above and reasoning about God, that only can be achieved through fellowship with God.

Do not let anybody to steal your time of fellowship with God, then you will see how your relationships with Him begin to impact your work, your family and your relationships with other people in a positive way!

«…I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.» (John 10:10).

Be abundantly blessed with the blessings hidden in Him! Rufus Adjiboje, pastor

  • God reveals His plan gradually

Yesterday we began talking about the importance of knowing God’s will for our lives. We established that God has a particular plan with precise assignments for every person. But God reveals His plan gradually.God reveals His plan to us as we reach certain levels of maturity and grow in our ability to accept what He has prepared for us. As God shows us the details of His plan, we can learn to walk in obedience in those areas where God has already revealed us His will. And during this time we can simply trust Him to carry out His sovereign plan for our life.

  • The wisdom of repentance II

David talks about the obvious advantages that are available to a person after he has confessed his sins.1. Supernatural freedom from guilt and condemnation.« I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, „I will confess my transgression to the Lord,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin» (Psalm 32:5). Right after we confess our sins God takes away from us the burden of guilt. When our own hearts condemn us, when we experience the guilt caused by our sins, it is extremely hard to boldly go before Godi n prayer. Feelings of guilt destroy our confidence. So, in order for us to get rid of the guilt we need to repent of our sins.

  • The lordship of Jesus Christ II

«The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies» (Psalm 110:1-2).This passage talks about Christ: «Rule in the midst of Your enemies», but the Body of Christ — His Church — is included in this prophetic word. Jesus was told to sit at the right hand of God; but it would be God’s children that would overcome God’s enemies and every thing that rise against the will of God. God wants us to rule and reign in the midst of the enemies and unfavourable circumstances. We must rule because we have been given God’s authority and we were born conquerors.

  • Apart from Him there is no true satisfaction and happiness! II

Today we will look at some more areas of Solomon’s life where he tried to find happiness and satisfaction. Many people try to do that. Let’s look at the Scripture.«Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind. Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me»(Ecclesiastes, 2:16-17).
