Daily obedience to God in different areas of your life will bring you to your calling IV

«Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever» (Psalm 106:1).
Mercy of the Lord has been renewed this morning for every one of us. God rules! God loves people who live on this earth! Today God saves, heals and delivers!
«Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heave, that it cannot hear» (Isaiah, 59:1).
God loves every person. He has prepared an amazing destiny for every one of us. Each person is born for specific purpose. Every one has a calling, but only the Lord knows what that calling includes. When a person fully submits to the Lord, then He opens to this person everything that concerns his or her calling.Jesus once told Peter to step out of the boat and walk on the water. Until then no person had ever done this, so people thought it to be impossible. Peter obeyed the word of the Lord and walked on the water, thus making it possible.
«So He said, “Come”. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus» (Mathew, 14:29).
Until that moment Peter could have not imagined that he could do something like it. Peter’s obedience made it possible for Peter to accomplish something that seemed humanly impossible. Peter walked on the water, while the rest stayed in the boat. These people never walked on the water not because it wasn’t possible, but because they were not obedient to God.When we obey God and do what He tells us, then impossible things become possible. Being obedient to God is difficult, sometimes painful; sometimes it implies suffering, but obedience always is rewarding.I never thought that once I will be able to stand before people and preach, because I was rather shy by nature, every very shy. But now I do it; I preach in different cities and countries. Today I preach to total strangers. God made it possible through my obedience to Him on a daily basis.God has a calling for every person. When each one of us becomes the servant of the Lord and is obedient to Him on a daily basis, then it becomes easy for us to enter our calling. And you can see it when you read Jesus’ parable about talents that we find in Mathew 25.
«For the kingdom of heaven is like a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them»(Mathew, 25:14).
God calls those people that have given Him their lives and consider Jesus to be their Lord.We talked about the fact that if we want to learn our calling and to enter it, we need to be obedient to God on a daily basisas well as allow Jesus to become our Lord in all areas of our lives. Today I want to you to see that Jesus gave to every one of His servants according to his power or capability.
«And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey» (Mathew, 25:14-15).
We should not compare ourselves to other people or envy them if they have something that we do not have. It is wrong. God gives to everyone according to his or her ability and God makes us stewards of the talents He has given to us. There are people that are so much more talented than me; there are people that have a lot more understanding in certain matters than me. But I should not envy them; I shouldn’t feel inferior to them, – because that is a lie from the devil. Unfortunately, many people have believed this lie; for this reason they lack confidence and are passive in the matters of the Kingdom; they believe that there are others, more talented that are doing what needs to be done.Do not let the devil deceive you! You are a unique individual created according to God’s image and in His likeness. God has given every person unique talents that are crucial for the Kingdom of God. God has done everything for you to succeed in this life. But there is something you should do: you need to start using your talents, experience and all the other things that you have. God will never leave you! But remember that God meets half-way those who walks and acts!God bless you!Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Qualities that make us the salt of the earth and light of the world

    1) Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Mathew, 5:3). This talks about dependency on God. Our lives depend on God. And since we realize our dependency, we must continually come to God and spend time with Him. This is a foundational step in becoming the salt of the earth and the light of the world; we must live a life that is totally depended on God!2) Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Mathew, 5:4). Sin, unrighteousness and injustice that surround us must motivate us to pray and mourn before God, to stand in the gap for our land. It must motivate us to repent of the sins and unrighteousness of our nation. When we look at the things around us with God’s eyes, then everything that grieves God will grieve us as well. This is where passion is born and a vision for change is conceived.
  • What are you doing with your promotion?

Promotion is connected to the issue of wealth, and we are not talking just about money. Riches are more than money. Health, joy, good relationships, peace, rest, and love – those too are riches. Many people have lots of money, but they lack true riches. God tells us today not to be haughty and not trust in material things; we need to trust God alone. We should be generous and sociable. When problems come, God is the only One Who can help us. Trust God and do good works. By doing this, you will draw God’s attention and earn God’s promotion.
  • Isaiah saw three important things that totally changed his life

Whoever loves God serves people. The one who serves people is blessed and exalted by God. Ministry is a sacrifice. When you serve, you give what is yours – time, money, energy, sleep, food etc. God loves generous hearts, and He can’t pass by this type of people.Do you know why God blessed Abraham? It was because Abraham was a generous man. He was ready to give anything to God. Abraham left his family in obedience to God; he yielded to his nephew and allowed him to choose a place of lodging first. Abraham gave tithe to God at the time when no such law existed. He did not refuse to sacrifice to God his own son. For this reason God blessed him.
  • Never be stopped by problems!

Satan wants to hit our spirit via hardships, trials and problems. When your spirit is strengthened, you can overcome any kind of weakness, get through all kind of hardships and trials. So how can we strengthen our spirit? God´s word and His promises strengthen our spirit and overcome weakness and sufferings. In order to not give up, we need to learn how to lean on the word of God and His promises – fully and unconditionally. We have to learn God´s faithfulness and realise that God will never forsake us unless we abandon Him ourselves.
  • Without certain changes in our lives we won’t be able to receive God’s vision

The first thing God did to Abram was that He took him out of the tent, out of his comfort zone. While we stay within our comfort zone where we feel at ease, where we do not need to make an effort, where everything goes according to the habitual scenario, we are not able to see what God wants to show us. For this reason God often desires us to get out of our comfort zone, out of our routine lifestyle and for us to put forth some effort to expand our knowledge of the will of God for our life.
