Do not focus of what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have!

Greetings to you on this wonderful summer day! The indescribable beauty of nature that has been created by God surrounds us every day. Find some time today to look at the sky, to enjoy trees, flowers, and birds. God is the Amazing Creator of visible and invisible things. And everything He has created is wonderful and perfect. In the same amazing manner God created every human being. King David said:
«I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well» (Psalm 139:14).
Every human being is a unique work of God. Everyone has been given unique abilities and talents. There isn’t one unnecessary person on this earth; there isn’t one insignificant talent or ability. Everything that God created is needed by someone and is intended as a blessing for someone. Look at yourself today in a new light and see that you are a unique personality highly gifted by God; you are a unique specimen. There isn’t another person on this earth like you! But sometimes we are distracted when we start comparing ourselves to others and envying them just because they have something we do not have. For this reason we stop appreciating the things that God has given us and sometimes it makes us passive and inert.I remember how God gave me a desire to write a book about fasting. At first I thought, «Why do I need to write about it? What new things can I reveal in it? What else can be written on the topic?» When a friend of mine who lives in Germany heard my contemplation, he said he did not agree with me. He said, «Maybe there are many things written about it, but you are going to write your book. You will write like nobody else. It will be an original and unique work». He persuaded me and I wrote the book. One day I went to Kiev and a woman came to me. She started to thank me for writing the book. She said that she was from Armenia and that my book had become a great blessing for her. I was astounded because I had never been to Armenia. She said she had read ‘Then they will fast’, which was the first edition of my book and consisted of only 20 pages. (Now we have the second edition available.) This lady told me that she had problems with fasting. She had tried fasting, but was not successful. She had read a multitude of books by great preachers such as Derek Prince, etc. But nothing worked until she read my 20-page book about fasting. She said that she experienced a total breakthrough in the area. This lady greatly encouraged me with her testimony. Today I can freely say that I praise God for not being Derek Prince, for example. Derek Prince was more talented; he could reveal the truths of the Scripture in a special way and I am glad for it. But I am also glad that I am Rufus. Each of us has received from God according to our ability. A problem is that some people use their God-given talents, but others do not.It is not important how many talents you have; it is important that you are using what you have. Do not focus on what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have. That is what the parable of talents is all about.May God help you use your uniqueness and apply your potential for the spreading of God’s Kingdom. May it be said about you,
«His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord» (Mathew, 25:23).
We will continue tomorrow. I wish you God’s abundant blessings!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • The importance of ministry and the way it transforms a person himself and the quality of his life

Notice that by serving people we are not trying to take God’s place in their lives. Vice verse, via our ministry we desire to draw people to the only Person who is able to sincerely help them, and that is to God.That’s why the purpose of our ministry is drawing people to God, so that God can be glorified in their lives. God is the only one, who can help, comfort, heal and restore the destiny of people. We are just tools and channels He uses. Our task is to let God channel His love through our ministry to other people.
  • Constant fellowship with God

Having constant fellowship with God we begin to see ourselves as God´s chosen ones, holy and beloved. Each of us is unique and some can see it and believe it, however, not everybody has revealed it for himself. If you look at yourself as at the God´s chosen one, you life will easily reflect a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance. In addition you will notice how these qualities reflect in your inner world and your relationships with God and other people as well.
  • Piety

Many people have learned to call upon the name of God, but they do not have a slightest idea of the fear of the Lord. It is very important to understand that our provision depends not only on our ability to call upon God, but also on the level of the fear of God in our lives. My lifestyle is what determines the power of my prayers. Anyone who calls upon God must also fear God, – and that is what it means to call upon God in truth.«The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth» (Psalm, 145: 18).
  • What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time? IV

In order for us to learn react to problems and pain in a correct manner we need a revelation about the fact that while we live in this world there will be no end to pain and hardships. For as long as sin exists on the earth pain won’t cease in people’s lives. We suffer not only due to our own sins and wrong decisions, but also due to the sins and wrong decisions of other people.Joshua and Caleb, as well as the whole generation of Israel that finally entered the Promised Land were forced to wander through the wilderness for almost 40 years. Why? We know that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit and they believed God and walked in obedience. Nevertheless, due to the wrong decisions made by other people they had to suffer and wander in the wilderness for all that time.
  • Do not be afraid to work; do not be afraid to sacrifice your time to the Lord!

«But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money» (Mathew, 25:18).This person received some money from his master and he hid it. Please, notice these words ‘money from his master’. He knew that what he had received did not belong to him; it belonged to his master. And he made a conscious decision to hide the treasure his master had given him.
  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.
