Do You Hear What God Is Saying? III

Greetings to you, dear children of God, in our column „Daily Word for Spiritual Strength”! Our God is alive, and He wants His children to be revived through the truth of God’s Word and prepared for every good work.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We are continuing to talk about whether we hear God’s voice.

We said that we often hear the voices of our own common sense and our feelings. Most often, these voices cannot reveal God and His plans to us, because God is Spirit.

There is another voice that we hear: the voice of other people and of the human point of view. The voice of experts belongs in this category – for example, a doctor who announces what the medical equipment indicates. A doctor may tell a patient that he will die in three days, because the medical equipment, the test results and his own medical experience show that. Praise the Lord for our doctors, but we must know that the last word always belongs to God. God often says the complete opposite of what the experts say. In such cases, while remaining respectful toward the various specialists, we need to set aside the experts’ conclusions and trust God, not people. The more you trust the experts’ conclusions instead of the Word of God, the less God can give you life.

I choose to believe the living Word of God! Which word are you going to believe?

“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).
